Top 5 Sundays

As you might know Larissa over at Larissa's Bookish Life is away for the next two weeks on an incredible vacation, but the poll for the Top 5 Sundays was still up.

So I'm still taking part in her weekly blog post she created, Top 5 Sundays.

Here are the details:

Every Sunday Larissa will post a TOP 5 list on the blog. It c
an be about anything and every week she'll have a new theme {You can vote on next week’s theme on her left sidebar!} and She will ad the Mr.Linky bellow the post so you can do a list with the theme and add your link to it.

And the rules:

1 - Write a post listing your TOP 5 choices within the theme chosen (or was chosen on a poll) for the week.
2 - Mention this Blog on the post and link back to it.
3 - Fell free to use the Feature's image (there is a smaller size version of it bellow)
4 - After you've finished your post, add you link (of the post, not your blog's main page) to the Mr.Linky at the end of that week's post.

The topic this week is: Best Paranormal Romance Series

This one's a bit difficult for me, the books I read tend to be more UF than PNR. So my answers might be more mixed if not all strictly UF, but I will try to pick ones that I believe are classified as PNR.

#5 Colleen Gleason's The Gardella Vampire Chronicles

Think of it as a pre-Buffy days book! Very cool series set in the past with a young woman who learns she comes from a family of Venerators or vampire slayers! Trying to slay vampires in Victoria's gowns is not an easy task at all. Buffy so had it easy!!

#4 Keri Arthur's Nikki and Michael Series

This series was before Keri's Riley Jenson one. It involved a human and a vampire teaming up to investigate crimes. And naturally, they eventually fall in love. Hard to find now, best to order online.

#3 Keri Arthur's Riley Jenson Series

I remember being immediately intrigued with this story. I mean a half-vamp half-werewolf protagonist?! How awesome! I thought of Underworld at first with their hybrids and thought I HAVE to read this series! And boy was it an awesome one!!

#2 Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress World Series

I loved Jeaniene's Night Huntress series. And having a side series that involves the side characters was amazing! I loved it!! And Eternal Kiss of Darkness has a very Beauty and the Beast feel to it in some ways. That's my Disney girl side speaking of course!

#1 Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress Series

One of my favorite series ever! Love the concepts and characters and just about everything else. I bought this book for "research" purposes in some ways because at the time I was trying to work on my novel idea that involved a young woman born to a human mother and vampire father. Of course my novel is nothing like this one at all! Just that little thread idea is really the only similar piece.

Hopefully those series fell in the PNR category. As I said I'm more of a UF reader and half the time, I can't tell where the book falls, UF or PNR. I just know that I like the book or series or whatever and that's really all that matters! Until next time!

  1. I cannot adequately explain how much I love Jeaniene Frost. Like you, this is one of my favorite series, Bones and Cat are just perfect. Can't wait for February 22nd!
