Waiting on Wednesday

I hate waiting...
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog post by Jill over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights releases we're eagerly awaiting.

As her wedding day approaches, Abby Cooper has a disturbing premonition of her fiancé’s murder. Her husband-to-be, FBI agent Dutch Rivers, has been assigned to a suicide bombing case, and Abby’s spirit guides warn her of imminent danger. Abby vows to do everything in her power to keep Dutch safe and get him to the altar. But on the morning of the ceremony, she finds herself in a dire situation with time running out...

I loooove this series! Victoria is by far one of my fave mystery authors! Both her series are incredible! This is her first series and the heroine should, hopefully, be getting married this time around! Looking forward to reading it!

TITLE: Deadly Forecast
AUTHOR: Victoria Laurie

PUBLISHER: NAL
GENRE: Paranormal Mystery
RELEASE DATE: July 2, 2013

As the owner of a popular vintage clothing store, Lily Ivory can enjoy a day of antique jewelry shopping and still call it work. But as one of San Francisco’s resident witches, searching for hidden treasures can sometimes lead to dangerous discoveries…
When Lily arrives at an antique jewelry fair, her bargain sensors go off left and right—but she also picks up a faint vibration of magic. Could the hard-bargaining merchant Griselda be a fellow practitioner? It certainly seems that way when a sudden fire sends panic through the crowd, and Lily discovers Griselda murdered in a way that nods to an old-fashioned witch hunt…

A crime that hits close to home turns into an unwelcome flash from the past when the police bring in their lead suspect—Lily’s estranged father. Though he may not deserve her help, Lily is determined to clear her father’s name and solve a murder that’s anything but crystal clear.

Yet another mystery series I love! Juliet Blackwell is yet another fave mystery author! She too blends strong paranormal elements into the mystery and the results are just stunning! I am still one book behind in this series, but luckily that's not too bad compared to other series I am behind in!

  3. Great picks! I've read only the 1st Psychic Eye Mystery, and although I loved it, I still need to read the rest, so I have a lot of catching up to do. And I still haven't tried the Juliet Blackwell's series, although it's been on my TBR for years now, ever since Secondhand Spirits was published.

    I hope you'll enjoy them :)

  9. We've got a ton of Victoria Laurie's books on our shelves at the library and this series looks like one I might be interested in :) I don't usually do mysteries but I really like JD Robb's In Death series so I think I'd like Laurie's series b/c it has the paranormal aspect added to the mystery :) I will definitely be looking for the first one at work - Thanks for opening my eyes!!!!

I'm around again, sort of... Love your new look!!!!
