This week's question is: Change the Plot. If you could, what book would you change the ending or a plot thread? Go ahead and do it…change it.

MY ANSWER: Oh my. This is a toughie! I tend to like how things go in books for the most part.

But let's see...

I think I'd like to change who Dana ended up with from this trilogy (Sirensong by Jenna Black). While I liked the guy okay, he did something in the first book that I had a hard time forgiving. I'd much rather Dana choose the other guy! Avoiding names for spoiler purposes.

And for another, it may not be a good idea to change this because it would definitely change the course of the series but I would also "save" a particular character instead of having that particular character die. However necessary the reason might have been. And this was Christina Henry's Black Howl! (if for whatever reason the picture doesn't show, have that happen to me a lot on other blogs!)

  1. I haven't read either one yet. I started the first book by Jenna Black and liked it, just never read the rest. I really should start it over and get through it. old follower.

  2. I love how careful you are avoiding spoilers! I just sort of bulldozed all over New Moon and changed the entire saga... Maybe not my best move xD
Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great weekend

  5. Not heard of these two books. I had a hard time coming up with something as I haven't really read anything lately that I didn't like the ending.

  6. I haven't read any of these series, but it's funny that you were so careful about your wording, very thoughtful of you to not spoil anything for us, Jessica.

Have a fantastic Friday! Thanks for stopping by earlier.

  7. I've only read Jenna Black's series and it was a while ago, but I think I know who you're talking about. While I was happy with who she ended up with I could definitely see it going the other way, which would have been great too :) Thanks for stopping by!

  8. Hopping through. Yes, yes, yes. I really disliked the ending of that series, which started out so strong.

  9. There are so many books I would change to save some characters! It's always a heartbreak when a favorite dies. I still refuse to believe a certain house elf is really dead in Harry Potter.

  12. I know what you mean, I hate when characters die, no matter the reason I don't like it. And if you get close to a character the whole book, omg that's hard to let go. Maybe it's just me but I get attached. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Old follower. Have a good weekend.

  13. Ooh that's a good one - to save a character that died. I hadn't thought of that. I can think of a few that I'd save but then it might would change the direction that the other characters go. Game of Thrones anyone?!? There's TONS of characters killed off in those books. It rips your heart out. But take for instance Daenerys - she wouldn't become the strong leader of her people that she is (and I've only read through book 3) without what happens in book one.

Old follower. Thanks again for stopping by my blog!
