Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

This week's topic is: Ten Books For Readers Who Like Character Driven Novels

*in no particular order

For most of these picks you can say the whole series is awesome for character driven novels!

 1. Stray by Rachel Vincent--I loved this series! At times Faythe could drive one nuts, but then you realize that's great writing! That's a great character if she can get under your skin so much with some of her less smarter choices!
2. Bitten by Kelley Armstrong--a series that is just incredible when it comes to great characters! Elena totally wows us and then each heroine afterwards is also amazing in her own way.
3. Hounded by Kevin Hearne--one of my fave series by a guy about a guy! In UF you see a lot of female authors with heroines, so guys are rare! But this series is awesome! Atticus is incredible with his worldly knowledge and let's not forget Oberon!

4. Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison--another fabulous series filled with great characters! Rachel is amazing and I cannot wait to read her last book, cause I'm behind!
5. Soulless by Gail Carriger--I loved this series as well! Alexia is awesome! I loved her spunky, sassy personality! And for being in a different century just makes it all the more fun!
6. Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost--another killer UF series with great characters! I loved Cat! I loved watching her grow in this first book alone! And Bones! LOOOOVE him! And Ian, even though he wasn't in this first one!

7. Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neil--loooove this series and Merit and Mallory totally won me over! I love their snark, I love how Merit handled Ethan in the beginning! And of course she's grown since then!
8. Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler--another series filled with great characters! These characters really made me laugh! Especially Jane! She was incredible!
9. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder--I loved Yelena in this series! She's a strong girl and she just grows even more so as the series goes on!

10. First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones--OMG! Charley is the best heroine ever! I looooove her sense of humor! She's funny, kind...I mean the series is really "driven" by her!

I'm huge on character driven novels. Doesn't matter what genre as long as they are well written.
