"Creature from the Black Lagoon, I saw, would be showing next week. As I glanced at the picture, my heart twinged. I couldn't tolerate that film. The one time I'd seen it, everyone around me had screamed or laughed at the monster on the screen. But I just felt pity. It was the silliest of silly horror movies, and I'd walked out in tears." Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

This week's topic is: Top Ten Characters You Wish Would Get Their OWN Book (minor or just maybe a semi main character you wish a book was from their POV)

*in no particular order

 1. IAN from Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress Series--Jeaniene says she's trying to get a story out of Ian! It's progress at least because I definitely loved Ian in this series!
2. ADAM from Tahereh Mafi's Shatter Me Trilogy--just wished we could've got a little more from Adam. I felt like his part was just abruptly cutoff in the ending and would've liked more!
3. CASS from Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld Series--I always hoped Cass would get her own novel, but it was never in the cards apparently. She did get her own novella, which I've read, but I would've liked to seen more of her.

4. SEBASTIAN from Colleen Gleason's Gardella Vampire Chronicles--well, he was sort of in the spinoff series that's kind of stalled at the moment. But I would've liked to seen more of him, from him! Victoria had a decision on her hands and thankfully she chose the man I liked, but that doesn't mean I don't want Sebastian happy with someone else!
5. JANCO from Maria V. Snyder's Study Series--I love Janco! Definitely one my most favorite secondary characters ever! He's just so funny and kind and all that good stuff! Would love to see him get a moment to shine with his own book! But I will settle for more in the series next year! ;)
6. REN from Andrea Cremer's Nightshade Series--I was a little upset with how things left off with Ren at the end of this one. I would've liked to know more about where he goes and all that.

7. DANIEL from Susan Dennard's Something Strange and Deadly Trilogy--needless to say, I would just want more of Daniel. Basically, if we were to rewrite the final book from his point of view, I'd be...content? ;)
8. CASSIAN from Sophie Jordan's Firelight Trilogy--yet another underdog that didn't get picked. Naturally I was team Will, but I still would've liked to known what Cassian ended up doing. If he ever found happiness.
9. KISTEN from Kim Harrison's Hollow Series--more dragging my feet! I didn't want to say goodbye to Kisten. Could we go back and have a novella with his point of view. Of a time with him and Rachel? It's possible there was one in the paperbacks, but since I always bought hardcovers, I never really got around to reading those shorts.

10. JACKAL from Julie Kagawa's Blood of Eden Trilogy--hells yes I would want more of Jackal! He was so funny and such an enjoyable character! I don't really expect that he'd find a special girl or whatever, but I still wouldn't say no to an adventure in his point of view!

  6. Familiar Things sounds like an interesting read I can't wait to see what you think of it. Out of your top ten, I have only read the first book in the Nighthuntress series, all the other books I have never read. :) Where have I been..lol.

  9. Jackal definitely needs his own book. I loved his morbid sense of humor lol. Adam really pissed me off in Facture Me, and changed the way I thought of him. Those new found qualities he exhibited were big no no's for me.

  11. That tease has me curious, Jessica. I remember seeing that film when I was young...I don't think I cried. :) YES for Ian, Adam, and Kisten! Oh, I was really upset when I had to say goodbye to Kisten...really upset. Oh, and Cass. Yeah, it would have been nice for her to get her own book.

  12. I had to laugh at your teaser, as I felt the same way about the movie for "The Shining," that it was more stupid than scary. Agree with you on your number one -- would love to see Ian's story. Mine: Biting the Moon

  13. Interesting teaser. I could see how that could happen. Mine is from Hollow City by Ransom Riggs

  14. Great Teaser. I'm wondering what "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" has to do with the story! My reaction to the movie was pretty much the same as the character's.

  17. Forget Janco...what about Valek?? Oh he'd make a delightful character to have his story told. And I'm also totally with you on Jackal...he's totally my favorite in that series.

    My TTT is here.

  18. I actually considered Adam too, I would have liked to see him outside of his relationship with Juliette. I think we would have seen more of what we loved about him at the beginning :)

  19. Adam spoiler noooo!!! **looking away** looool

  20. I sort of skip read some of them because I didn´t want to spoil myself so....but I did read about REN!!! I´m still upset about the way it was handle his character. And I would love a spin-off of Jackal or at least one book about him.

  21. How did I not think of Cassian! He is the perfect person to have his own book! I was team Will, but part of me was secretly rooting for Cassian. Great list. Happy Tuesday. Enjoy the rest of your week.

  23. Great list! I especially can't wait for Ian's book, though I hope it will be from his PoV (I was disappointed that Vlad's books weren't), but anyway, I'll read it in every format ;)

  24. Oh my goodness, yes! I'd read a whole series from Jackal's POV for sure :) Have a great day, Jessica :)
