Top 5 Sundays

Top 5 Sundays is a weekly blog meme created by Larissa at Larissa and Friends' Bookish Life.

Every Sunday I will post a TOP 5 list on the blog. It can be about anything and every week I'll have a new theme {You can vote on next week’s theme on my left sidebar!} and I will ad the Mr.Linky bellow the post so you can do a list with the theme and add you link to it.

Rules:
1 - Write a post listing your TOP 5 choices within the theme I chose (or was chosen on a poll) for the week.
2 - Mention this Blog on the post and link back to it.
3 - Feel free to use the Feature's image (there is a smaller size version of it bellow)
4 - After you've finished your post, add you link (of the post, not your blog's main page) to the Mr.Linky at the end of that week's post.
5 – If you don’t have a blog to post, just leave your list in the comments =)

This week's topic is: Favorite Urban Fantasy Authors!

*in no particular order

JEANIENE FROST

Ooohhh I looooove Jeaniene's books! Still remember being hesitant about starting them because Borders shelved them in romance, but ohhh they were sooo awesome!! Glad I got over that little fear!

KELLEY ARMSTRONG

Kelley was one I had to try twice! I read one of her books a little too early and wasn't sure if the series was for me, but then later, I went back and read Bitten! Ooohh how I enjoyed that one!! She's definitely one of my all time faves! She's autobuy too!

RACHEL VINCENT

Looooove Rachel's books! You're seeing a pattern here right?! LOL! I once again was hesitant to read Stray back in the day, because again, Borders shelved it in Romance. But then Kim Harrison and Kelley Armstrong were both quoted on the cover and I was already loving them so I bought it and have been hooked ever since!

KIM HARRISON

Kim was among my first "adult" authors when I started reading more adult. I was escaping a Paranormal-less YA world at the time--aka the dark times! Kim's books just wowed me! I totally fell in love with Rachel's world! And I am looking forward to her new series, even though it seems to be a Paranormal-less read, but still mysterious enough that I gotta try it out at least!

JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT

Okay, so she might be more Urban Fantasy YA! But she does have a few stand-alones that definitely fit the bill of Urban Fantasy! Jennifer writes it all basically! And there's no way I can have a favorites list without her! Love her books!

  2. #1 and #2, absolutely Ilona Andrews and Seanan McGuire. Then Richelle Mead, Jenn Bennett, and Jaye Wells, but they could always be replaced with a dozen others just waiting in the wings.
