Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

This week's topic is: Top Ten Resolutions I Have For 2015

*in no particular order

1. Read 100 Books--ideally I'd like to read more, but I always aim for 100 because you never know what life may throw your way and I'd rather surpass my lower goal than fail my higher goal! LOL!
2. Try to Get My Book Published--currently it sits with a publisher, but I submitted back in November and I have really no way of knowing if I passed or flunked. But eventually I really need to look into either smaller publishing houses or self-publishing...which I dread, only because I know it will be hard and I am sooooo not tech savvy or advertising savvy!
3. Get Back to Writing--I haven't written at all this year! What with losing my job, I became kind of depressed and only wanted to read my troubles away. Then the holidays came in with having a job (yay!) and I just found myself too busy and not wanting to write. But going to try to get back to where I at least write a page a day if nothing else!

4. Try Dating Again--yeah, I'm not the best with social situations and dating has been among them. I'm going to try forcing myself into online dating again, despite the warnings I get from nearly everyone about every dating site there is. I just don't know how to meet new people. I'm basically looking for tall, dark, and handsome, resembling Theo James and loves books! Or you know, can indulge my love of books! LOL!
5. Survive BEA--yes I am going to BEA this year for the first time ever! I'm a total newb and would loooooove to find me a BEA buddy! I've got a hotel already nearby so if anyone is going and wants to bunk up, just let me know! My email is up in my review policy tab!

6. Eat at Be Our Guest--yes, I am making this a resolution! LOL! Our Disney trip seems to be in some serious work now, so my next goal is to get firm dates and then nag and bug endlessly about who wants to join me at Be Our Guest because I will be diving into the reservation process!
7. GET THIS PICTURE--lol! Yup, with our Florida trip I plan to go to Harry Potter World! I'll probably be the only one hopping along in the park as I will be jumping with joy the entire time!! And yes, I want to get a shot of this dragon, also with him breathing fire!

  3. all such great resolutions. Its hard to meet people anywhere. i think that there is just as much good that comes from online dating as bad. Just have to be picky. good luck with that.

Oh disney and harry potter world. so would love that. And BEA. I think I will just jump into your suitcase.

I didn't read or blog as much as I wanted to last year. I got off to a great start but between grandson and work its been hard.

  5. Interesting teaser and awesome resolutions.

I used to work in online book promotion, so if you ever get that book published, I can give you some tips. Also, publishing can take a while. My first book took 18 months before it came out. Can the publisher give you any timeframe at all?

Good luck with BEA. I would love to go one day too.

Be Our Guest is so much fun. Definitely worth it.

    Good luck!

  6. I am so close to done with my WIP. But I don't think I could go self-pub. I just don't think of everything and I would need help.

That's a very apt teaser for today! My copy should be in my mailbox. Excellent list!

  7. We've eaten at Be Our Guest a few times and I love the ambience... the food is good too! Don't get discouraged if you can't get reservations on the first time... keep trying as people do cancel. You might have to make it your priority and schedule everything else around when you get in. When you do go... make sure to check out ALL the rooms. They don't mind if you walk around... They actually expect it. :-))) AND HP world is fabulous! We go there often (have annual passes). Maybe we could meet you there... we love showing people around when we can work it in our schedules (my son and me).

It is hard to meet people, especially people who don't make a face when they see your bookshelves for the first time. :D

  11. I can't wait to read Passenger! I might go out and get it today.

It looks like you had a difficult 2015, so I hope 2016 is much better to you! I am so jealous of your trip to Florida. We are looking at going next January, but that is so far away.

  13. I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WROTE A BOOK. How exciting Jessica!

And I shall be surviving BEA with you, as soon as I buy my tickets that is!

Everyone I know seems to LOVE online dating. I swear. It's just a 50/50 shot like everything else in life. Besides, it's a lot better than chatting up some dude at a bar.

  14. That teaser you shared! Makes me very curious about Passenger. I do want to pick that one up! Congrats on writing your book! I'm sure you'll hear back soon and it'll be good news! I'm actually in the process of editing my book! I am hoping to get that finished soon and send it off. Fingers crossed to the both of us!

I also need to get back to my writing as well.

    Happy reading!

  18. DISNEY TRIP!! YAY!! So excited for you! I wish you all the luck in the universe to land Be Our Guest reservations, though! Dinner reservations are IMPOSSIBLE. Seriously, they're pretty much all gone 180 days in advance. No joke! It's craziness. Breakfast and lunch should be a tad easier, but snag them as soon as you know when you're going! We were over there last April, and I managed to get lunch reservations and it. was. so. amazing!! The lemon-meringue cupcakes are to die for. And the strawberry ones! Oh gosh, I need to go back :D Best of luck with all your goals, Jessica!

  24. I really want to read Passenger. Thanks so much for sharing a quote! Good luck with getting your book published. That's an excellent goal. I also think we'd all like Theo James with a love of reading ;) I wish you well in that search. If he has a brother in Texas, send him my way! We got to go to Harry Potter World but it was a few years ago and they didn't have Hogsmeade yet. I would LOVE to go again. I hope you have a blast!! The butterbeer is soooo good.

  25. I have decided I fail at the whole dating thing because I want to actually win at it and leave the ring with a super amazing guy...and they're not so interested in that same thing. I am tired of feeling used; however, I recommend eHarmony. I would love to follow along on those trips! Happy 2016, Jessica!

  26. Your goals are so cute, Jessica! I seriously hope you get your book published, because I would love to read it. Also, yay for Harry Potter!

  33. You are going to love BEA! It is such a fantastic experience! I wish I could go this year but I can't wait to see how much fun everyone has.

  34. With everything down in Florida to go see and enjoy, every year it goes up on my priority list. I was debating on going this year, and using it as a combo excuse to visit my brother there in the military but then they re-stationed him, so plans are back on the back-burner.
