Stacking the Shelves--2 Week Edition!!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

Hey all! I am back...well, I've been back since Tuesday of this week! Lol! My weekend away was A-MAZING! The weather was just gorgeous! We're talking 20 degrees cooler than the 90+ weather I live in daily during the summer! I managed to get some sun on my super white Irish skin as well! I'll be the only tan I'll get since I loathe stepping outside for the mail during the summer in St. Louis! Lol!

The past two weeks were fairly good to me! There were 2 signings I got to attend, got a few new reads, but didn't totally break the bank account...at least not yet. There were some orders placed...so we shall see what that bill looks like later! Lol!

Here's what I bought in the past two weeks:

Moonlight Seduction by Jennifer L. Armentrout
99 Lies by Rachel Vincent--as I mentioned on Instagram, all the B&Ns in my area didn't have this book. Straight up out of stock! And it JUST RELEASED! I drove to a B&N in IL that was 40-45 minutes away just so I could buy it during release week...and save a tad bit more money with my coupon and member discount. Yeah...in the long run I probably didn't save much with the gas I used, but it was fun to go to a new B&N! Win-win!!
The Emerald Sea by Richelle Mead--SIGNED! It was awesome to meet Richelle again! I met her in St. Louis a long time ago, when Spirit Bound released! I've met her in other cities before too and have ordered from her University Bookstore to keep my collection up to date since she usually has a limit of books she'll sign per signing. I am successfully up to date on my collection, so all is well! Now I just got to read them all! Besides the last 2 in this now finished trilogy, I wanted to read the extras in the Vampire Academy 10th Anniversary edition that's buried somewhere in the TBR trunk. So we'll say 2.5 to go! LOL!

Then I borrowed this one from my AMAZING friend Nikki at Take Me Away, she was kind enough to loan it to me so I didn't have to wait forever to read it!

The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout (ARC)

I already read this one this week and have sent it back to her efficiently! It was amazing and I cannot wait to read the next one!

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH Nikki!!

For review from the publisher I received:

A Sorrow Fierce and Falling by Jessica Cluess (ARC)

THANK YOU Random House Books for Young Readers!!

Then some other bookish goodies I acquired these past two weeks were:

My preorder swag for Tell Me No Lies from A.V. Geiger!! Cannot wait to binge this series now!

A new bookmark that had me cracking up so I HAD to buy it!!

Yes, another book sleeve! But I HAD to get one to show my House pride, you guys! It's not enough to just show Harry Potter love with my two Harry Potter sleeves...one of which is only Harry Potter in spirit and my mind!

Go Gryffindor! Thanks again to Fandom Sleeves for creating such amazing book sleeves and feeding my addiction! ;)

These next two items were acquired during my weekend getaway at an antique store:

The most amazing and gorgeous bracelet ever!! I was nearly jumping with excitement when I saw it! Ironically it was the only item in the case that didn't have a price tag, so the store owner gave it to me for $10 and I was too happy with that price to negotiate lower! Lol!!

I also found this nifty book box! While I wish I could've seen the actual Pisa when I was in Italy, I thought the box was too lovely to pass on because of that reason alone! Plus I had the perfect thing to use it for...

My collection of weird coins! I say "weird" but what I mean is totally frigging awesome! They are non-monetary coins which I had an obsession with as a kid (and let's face it, still do!)! There's an odd variety of them, and yes, I even bought a bulk order of coin cases from Amazon to encase the majority of them in! The only ones that didn't fit, because they were bigger, were the Lucky Charm coins I have! There's 5/7 Wonders of the World coins from a loooooooong ago prize in the box promotion or whatever you want to call it! Thought I did pretty good by finding 5!

And that my friends, is what I got in the last two weeks! Didn't add too much to the TBR pile all things considered, so I am quite pleased with myself! Lol. What did you all get?

  3. You got a good deal on that awesome bracelet! I love it and would have bought it myself if I'd seen it. This week I checked middle grade and picture books out of the library as I need to feed my own writing well.
