Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

I can't even remember this week. It wasn't good. Work has been getting worse for me. Still looking for a job, still not getting anywhere. Every time I finish taking tests or trying to set up a first round interview, I am notified that the job position has closed. And it's so, so aggravating and a little devastating. I only just get started before the door slams in my face. It's a little disheartening, I've gotta admit. Still trying every day though. Hopefully some Christmas magic comes my way and I get a new job asap!

Ironcially...I didn't buy any books this week. December has a been a slow month ever since the Falling Kingdoms series ended! Lol. But here's what I got:

Wicked Hour by Chloe Neill--Keeper copy
Atlas of Cursed Places by Olivier Le Carrer--this was actually a St. Nick gift I received Friday. My family still does St. Nick stockings on the 6th of the month versus Christmas. I forget how this became a tradition, I know it is truly a thing though! Lol.

For review I received:

Wreck by Alyssa Rose Ivy

THANK YOU Alyssa!

I made a few trades this week for some awesome swag:

I got the Slayer pin and the Return to the Isle of the Lost pin!

THANK YOU Nicole!

Then I got November's Fairy Loot tarot cards since I decided to skip on the box.

THANK YOU @tradingwithyara!

Then these were all from the various Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales:

This oh so colorful snowflake sleeve from Love You More Studios! I was really hoping to get the larger size sleeve since those are what I end up using the most, but sadly they were sold out. This size is still good for my smaller paperbacks though!

A small pin hoop from Fandom Sleeves. I wanted to have a small hoop to put some favorite Disney pins on...though they are all in storage for the holidays! Lol.

More fun bookish pins from Dust and Pages! I got the Book Shoppe one for FREE and the Inner Circle Night Court was the other one I purchased!

Then I found a Caraval inspired necklace that says Remember it's only a game! from SamMariesArtistry from Etsy. It's cute, though the label is a little off centered, but I feel like I'll be the only one to notice that!

I splurged on this one for myself! I had hoped to use a coupon, but sadly, anything expensive was null invoid for coupons with Disney! But it's well worth the money because look at that gorgeous necklace!! It's the iconic sign outside my favorite Disney ride!

Then these two were bought awhile back but things happened and they took longer to get here, but they did finally arrive and I couldn't be happier about them!!

So this beautiful little jar contains some of my most favorite books! I customized this little beauty with DreamInABottleShop from Etsy! The titles, as you might guess are Caraval, Legendary, Finale, 13 to Life and Demon in My View...the books that shape me! Lol!!

This one took awhile to arrive due to the artist being in another country but it was worth the wait because look how gorgeous this scroll is!! I got this one at LandofScrolls! The shop owner designs tons of maps onto scrolls like this! There's several bookish maps and ones from other fandoms! Naturally, I had to go with Caraval!!! The trick will be trying to display this...somehow...!

Then this little number was due to me being bored at work and made myself look busy. Lol. I was on Red Bubble for too long and bought a

So I bought up a few more postcards...mostly Caraval inspired ones that I didn't already have! But I just kept adding them to the cart and when I was done I was one away from getting them like 30% off, so naturally I had to find one more...which actually led to two more!

Other fandoms I couldn't resist buying were The Folk of the Air, Stalking Jack the Ripper, and ACOTAR world! I think it's more in line with ACOFAS but same thing! Lol! These were all from Dark-Beautiful's Redbubble shop and I am sooo pleased with all of them! I'm still waiting on one more item from this order, but it appears it's being delayed as I should've received it yesterday! Sigh...

And that finally, is it! So yeah...I did a bit of shopping last week...but really it was nearly all done during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and a few were even BEFORE that! So yeah...last week I was actually really good! Lol! What did you all get?

  1. I knew there was something I forgot to shop for on Black Friday - book sleeves! Well, I probably don't need more, but still. There are so many pretty ones out there, and I love yours! I love that map scroll of the Caraval world too.

  5. I feel you on the job hunt! My current job just isn't a great fit for me and I really want to find something else, hopefully closer to home. There just isn't a lot out there and every time I apply it's like crickets.

On a happier note, I love that Haunted Mansion pendant!
