The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

I decided I'd partake in The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag that The Bucket List Book Blog created. It's always a fun tag just to see what I've read so far this year!

The Best Book I've Read So Far in 2020

That would be Crave by Tracy Wolff--the vamps are FINALLY back!!!

My Favorite Sequel of the Year:

I ended up binge reading the books so far in the Night Rebel series! Wicked Bite was the sequel and I looooved it!

A New Release I Haven't Read But Really Want To:

It's a tie between Sarah J. Maas' adult debut House of Earth and Blood and Jennifer L. Armentrout's From Blood and Ash! So far I'm planning to read Sarah's during the Fourth of July weekend, as I learned I get TWO days off!

Most Anticipated Release for the Second Half of the Year:

That's another tie between The Damned and Crush! Bring on the VAMPIRES! Lol!! The Damned should've been in the first half of the year but got pushed back to July, hence second half! Lol.

My Biggest Disappointment:

Jumping the gun on this one as I read it as an ARC, I can definitely say it was the biggest disappointment to date for this year. My review won't be up until August, but as a heads up, I was deeply disappointed.

Biggest Surprise of the Year:

Jumping the gun again! Not only was it surprising to FINALLY get The Nemesis, the conclusion to The Diabolic trilogy, but the read itself was just full of surprises! Another review to come in August!

Favorite New-to-Me or Debut Author:

Shelby Mahurin! She debuted last year but I didn't get around to reading Serpent & Dove until this year and I LOOOVED it! Cannot wait for Blood & Honey this year!

A Book That Made Me Cry:

I don't recall crying, but Capturing the Devil definitely got my emotions rolling! I was very stressed with this one until the end! Lol.

A Book That Made Me Happy:

Fractures was a chilling read yet I was happy to read it! Lol. I've been dying to read this one after the epic ending of Echoes in 2018 and omg it only got better and still had me spinning with all the twists and mysteries!

Favorite Book-to-Movie Adaptation:

NA

I didn't read any books this year that were adapted to movies...so yeah...

The Most Beautiful Book I Bought or Received this Year:

This cover is just gorgeous! I love all the fantasy and pirate elements going on. And omg, the Owl Crate version is even more gorgeous!

What Are Some Books I Need to Read by the End of this Year:

This one is too much of a loaded question for me! Lol. So basically choosing one of my December releases that I will likely not be able to read and finish before the 31st, but a girl can dream! Lol!

And I'm calling this a discussion...of sorts! ;)
