When Kellyn pulls back, I want to look anywhere else, but he demands my attention. 'Don't wait for me,' he repeats. 'I'm sorry Temra ever got hurt.' Then he gently nudges me towards where Petrik is already hiding." p 52*

This week's topic is: Top Ten Books to Read if You Love Fairy Tale Re-tellings

*in no particular order

10. BEAST by Lisa Jensen--a unique retelling of The Beauty and the Beast from one of the enchanted objects' points of view!
9. CRUEL BEAUTY by Rosamund Hodge--another The Beauty and the Beast retelling! This one was just amazing!
8. REIGN OF SHADOWS by Sophie Jordan--an incredible retelling of Rapunzel!

7. SEA WITCH RISING by Sarah Henning--a dark twist on The Little Mermaid with one of the sisters' point of view, plus the sea witch herself!
6. KILL THE FARM BOY by Delilah S. Dawson & Kevin Hearne--not really fairy tale per-se, but a comedic parody of The Princess Bride. Think of it like if Mel Brooks directed the movie! Lol.
5. THE PRINCESS WILL SAVE YOU by Sarah Henning--a gender-swapped version of The Princess Bride!

4. NOCTURNE by Syrie James--The Beauty and the Beast with a vampric twist!
3. BLOODLEAF by Crystal Smith--an amazing retelling of The Goose Girl! I positively LOOOVED this original cover! Was devastated by the revamp since this one gives off the fairy tale vibes while the new one says "typical YA fantasy read."
2. HOUSE OF SALT AND SORROWS by Erin A. Craig--an awesome retelling of The Worn-Out Dancing Shoes, or as it's more commonly called, The 12 Dancing Princesses! Loved this fairy tale and this was the second retelling I read of the tale and it was just amazing!!!

1. SNOW by Tracy Lynn--an obvious Snow White retelling! This is an old school title of mine and was apart of a multi-author series that retold fairy tales in a classic style, but yet, still made it different enough! This one was my favorite and I re-read it over and over!
