Stacking the Shelves--The Black Friday Damage

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality.

I survived the week somehow. The work trip was okay. Weather was as expected and I was somewhat miserable. My hotel wasn't super great as I was in an off the main property room. Apparently my hotel had these "casistas" which were room like cabins 1/4 mile away from the hotel. Which on a normal vacation would be fine, but when I have to call a shuttle to take me to the hotel to meet my group who was all at the hotel, it was inconvenient. I got the sense the hotel was fully booked as there were other work groups from other companies there and I overheard one person saying he was being sent to an overflow hotel after one night's stay, so I felt like it wasn't worth trying to talk to the staff about changing rooms since it was only 2 nights. It was a most stressful 2 nights but I survived...barely. The rest of the week was exhausting as I was trying to get caught up as other people decided not to work at all that week, treating our meetings as a vacation so there was a lot of slack to pick up. Yesterday I attended the St. Louis Teen Author event that tends to happen in December every year and it was pretty fun! I got to meet three authors I've never met and saw a few repeats again. So at least the week ended on a high note after 5 days of dreadfulness.

Onto my haul...in my defense, there were quite a few Black Friday sales and then other preorders came in...and yeah...it's scary since this is largely all on my TBR pile now!

Fallen Gods by Rachel Van Dyken--I preordered this one awhile back at Target when they had a BOGO 1/2 off sale!
The Bookshop Below by Georgia Summers--I had been eying this one and then with the B2G1 free sale on Black Friday, I added this to the cart!
Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney--this one was recommended to me so I bought a copy off Pangobooks and plan to start it next!
Girl Dinner by Olivie Blake--I originally was going to wait for the PB version, but then with the B2G1 sale, I just decided to buy it now!
Throne in the Dark by A.K. Caggiano--this one popped up on my radar recently and it sounded amazing so into the cart it went! I think this was the third book I got in the B2G1 sale!
The Last Vampire by Romina Garber--a preorder that came in and I just finished the ARC a few weeks ago! It was a fun read!
A Kingdom This Cursed & Empty by Stacia Stark--Stacia is coming here next month and I just finished reading the first one, about a 1/4 through I decided to go ahead and order the rest of the series!
A Crown This Cold & Heavy by Stacia Stark
A Cursed Son by Day Leitao--one I had been eyeing and then bought at B&N during their extra punches sale during BF! Plus gift card!
Make Me a Monster by Kalynn Bayron--SIGNED! Impulse purchase yesterday after hearing Kalynn talk about this one! It sounded awesome and I may or may not have bought the last copy at the bookstore table! It was the last one on the table, so got lucky there! Lol.
We Who Will Die by Stacia Stark--Book of the Month edition! I had a credit, so it only cost me like $3 for the sprayed edge feature!

Then I received my Fairy Loot Call of the Forgotten trilogy:

The Iron Prince by Julie Kagawa--FL edition
The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa--FL edition
The Iron Warrior by Julie Kagawa--FL edition

Then I received my preorder incentive for The Last Wish of Bristol Keats!

THANK YOU Flatiron Books!

And then finally, I won a contest on Instagram from Ideal Bookshelf/Jane Mount! Naturally, it arrived while I was out of town and I've been tired and stressed so I haven't started the advent countdown of it, I might just save it for next year, although I guess it can still be done now as I wouldn't really write the titles on the mini books...

THANK YOU Jane Mount!

And that was it for me this week! Yes, for someone who doesn't really have any December releases on her list, I certainly got a lot this week! I blame Black Friday! Only 2 were preorders after all! Lol.

What all did you get? Any good Black Friday deals come in for you?
