Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.
Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost’s daughter, Santa Claus’s niece, heir to the Winter Throne and now… private investigator. Sort of.
When she buys a sealed box at an estate sale and cat-related circumstances cause that box to be opened, life in Nocturne Falls starts to go haywire. Jayne has no choice but to figure out what she unleashed and how to recapture it.
But Jayne suspects the woman behind the box is hiding something. Something that could cause a town resident serious trouble. Or worse, to lose their life.
With the help of her two favorite guys, a sexy vampire and a hot summer elf, and a few new friends, Jayne tackles what feels like an impossible mission. And winds up almost iced herself.
So I added Kristen Painter's Miss Frost Ices the Imp to my TBR pile in September of 2016! I am still so vastly behind on the Nocturne Falls series but I remember this one being a spinoff of sorts, as Jayne lives there as well and has her own mysteries that she solves. If memory recalls the Nocturne Falls series was more romance with a side plot of something or other! They're cute reads nonetheless but they all reside on my kindle, hence my forgetting about them...but I do tend to buy them and add them to my kindle, but I think I held off on the rest of this series in particular as I wasn't sure about it. My memories of the first book are dismal, but I liked it enough to buy the second one at least! So hopefully one day I will read and then possibly add the rest to my kindle as well!
