Teaser & Top Ten Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Purple Princess of The Purple Booker

Here are the rules:

1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a page
3. Pick out 2 lines that are SPOILER FREE
4. Name the title, author, etc.

An actual current read this week! This teaser had me cracking up because it's things I've thought before! Lol.

"I just pray the soldier stationed down there isn't trigger-happy. If he kills my beloved mare, I'm going to hunt him down, put a bullet in his skull, and then hunt his ghost down, too." p 31

TITLE: Silver Elite
AUTHOR: Dani Francis
PUBLISHER: Del Rey
GENRE: Dystopian
RELEASE DATE: May 6, 2025

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and The Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week's topic is: Top Ten Books That Feature Travel

*in no particular order

10. REAWAKENED by Colleen Houck--with a spring break trip to Egypt that involves hanging out with a reincarnated mummy, you know there's traveling involved!
9. STORM GLASS by Maria V. Snyder--I feel like with any fantasy read you're bound to get traveling in of some kind! I vaguely recall Opal having to do a lot of riding around in this one!
8. PALE DEMON by Kim Harrison--ROAD TRIP!

7. REFLECTION by Elizabeth Lim--Mulan travels to the Underworld...and then you know transverse the land of the dead!
6. DAUGHTER OF THE PIRATE KING by Tricia Levenseller--obviously some sailing the seas and oceans are involved!
5. ILLUMINAE by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff--the whole book takes place on a spaceship! So space travel!

4. STOLEN TIME by Danielle Rollins--time traveling!
3. SPARKS OF LIGHT by Janet B. Taylor--more time traveling! And I'm sure there were other modes of transportation happening in this row too. Probably by horseback.
2. OLD MAGIC by Marianne Curley--my first book involving time travel and via magic! SOOO good!

1. ONCE UPON A BROKEN HEART by Stephanie Garber--this series had a lot of traveling too! But of course, with this one we start the journey to the Magnificent North via ship!
