MY ANSWER: I'm going to say no. I guess I don't know what context of "shy" are we talking about. Like embarrassed? Or wanting to read but are afraid to? My answer to both is still no. I mean, I read what I want to read. If I don't want to read it, I just don't. I stay away from contemporaries because they just aren't my thing. I'm picky with mysteries and prefer a dash of paranormal. So I guess it's not that I'm "shy" of these other genres. I just know they are not to my tastes. Because basically, if there's something I want to read, I'll read it...eventually. Lol.
