Waiting on Wednesday

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Kennedy Bennett comes from a long line of curse weavers. For centuries, her family has plied their trade in Unstable, Massachusetts, a quirky small town that’s welcomed paranormal practitioners since the dawn of spiritualism. Kennedy has recently struck out on her own, opening an antiques shop in Boston, where her speciality is uncursing and reselling hexed objects.

Then Aiden Connolly walks into her life with an offer she really should refuse. The scion of a wealthy family of luck workers, Aiden has a scheme to get his hands on the most famous cursed object of all: the mythical Necklace of Harmonia. He’s not the only one after the necklace, though. And he’s not the only one looking for a curse weaver to fix it. Kennedy’s sisters are kidnapped, she finds herself plunged into the underbelly of the magical world where even Aidan soon finds himself in over his head.

I'm not good with reading serial novels. Mostly because I want to read everything in one go...or as much of one go I can read it! Lol. So I held off reading this one when it was serialized and now my wait is almost up!

Let's Discuss: Bookish Confessions Part 32

We all have our bookish confessions. Today I decided to share one of my weirder ones. I can't remember if I mentioned it once before but here we go...

Bookish Confessions Part 32 (I really don't know what number it is! LOL)

You know when you're browsing the bookstore shelves and you spot one of your favorite series on the shelves! You look at the spines and think, read it, read it, read it, still need to read it...etc. Do you ever notice how sometimes stores arrange them in alphabetical order? I get the reasoning behind it, well, sorta.

I admit that when I see this and I see that no one else is around, I casually will rearrange the books to be in serial order from whatever is there! Yeah, it just flows better because a new reader might grab book 3 because it's "first" in the row and think "sounds good!" but they'll be so confused when they read it! So yes, I confess, I rearrange book series when I see them out of serial order.

Do you do this when in a bookstore? What are some of your weird bookish confessions?
