Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and The Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week's topic is: Top Ten New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2024
*in no particular order
10. JENNA LEVINE--I added her book to my TBR when it came out, but it took a year to get to it when she came to St. Louis for the second installment! It was cute and I love a cute paranormal read every now and then!
9. CARISSA BROADBENT--I was convinced to read this when another reader recommended it to me at a signing! Then it turned out Carissa was coming to St. Louis soon, so it was perfect timing!
8. LIESL WEST--this was an Instagram discovery! I don't remember how I found Liesl or if someone posted a picture of her book and I loved the cover and once it said TLM retelling but with a sea-witch twist, I was sold!
7. LEXI RYAN--I had Lexi's first two books on my TBR for a bit and I had contemplated going to one of her signings that was like a 5 hour drive away. So I read these in advance, but then I had did like 2 long road trips right before this one came up and I was too tired, so I didn't end up going. Hoping to meet her one day though!
6. RACHEL HARRISON--another author I had in my TBR for awhile that took her visiting St. Louis to get me to read! Lol. I was able to read 2/3 books of hers that I had and so far I'm 50/50 on them. But I have hope for the rest! Still really enjoyed this one featured here!
5. DANA CLAIRE--I believe this was another Instagram discovery, I think I actually signed up for the blog tour for this one, possibly...I know I did on the second book! It basically had Supernatural vibes so I was all over that! It was a very fun read and I can't wait to read the rest!

4. SARAH HAWLEY--another fun paranormal rom com author I discovered...probably in 2023 but didn't read until last year! Definitely can't wait to read the rest of the series in my TBR pile!
3. ISABEL IBANEZ--I had Isabel in my TBR for awhile as well! I finally picked this one up because of its The Mummy vibes, but I made sure to wait until I had the sequel in my hands as I heard it had a devastating cliffhanger!
2. BELLA HIGGIN--another author I had in my TBR prior to last year but I finally picked up her books as I thought it was going to be a trilogy to her vampire series, but it turns out it's going to be 2 duologies! So I read the first duology and am now waiting for word of the final book of the second one.

1. SIMONE ST. JAMES--another author I had in my TBR for awhile and once again took her visiting St. Louis for me to get to her books! I managed to read 2 of them prior to the signing and I positively love the ghostly mysteries. One of them needed a little more ghost business in my opinion, but this one was definitely a favorite!
