Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Purple Princess of The Purple Booker.
Here are the rules:
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a page
3. Pick out 2 lines that are SPOILER FREE
4. Name the title, author, etc.
This time around my teaser is one that I found myself really relating to!
"She had learned to keep her eyes straight ahead. But she never got used to the looks people gave her in the seconds before they corrected themselves: a combination of pity, nervous gratitude for their own good fortune, and the jot of fear when they realized--just for a second--that this good fortune was not guaranteed, that anything could happen to them at any time. That they were vulnerable. Those were the people who looked away fastest." p 109-110

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and The Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week's topic is: Top 5 Bookish Goals for 2025
*in no particular order
5. READ KIM HARRISON'S LATEST RELEASES--I've NEVER been behind on Kim's Hollow series and now I am currently 2 books behind! This must be corrected asap!!
4. READ MORE FROM MY TBR PILE--I did really good with this last year as from the 77 books I read last year over half of these were TBR books!
3. FINISH MORE SERIES--I did really well with this last year too! Although I'm now getting more to the point of whole series that need reading and a few I am vastly behind in!
2. TRY TO BUY LESS--I know, I know! The hardest thing for a bookworm to do! I want to "try" to not add too many books to my TBR pile this year...but we'll see how well that goes! Lol.
1. READ AT LEAST 50 BOOKS--I once again set a goodreads goal of 50 books! And I was slightly behind last week as the cold that struck on Jan 1st put me out of commission for 5 days at least and I was reading a big mammoth of a book too!

Comments are an award all on their own! So my blog is an award free one! Thanks for any consideration though!
