How do you choose your next read? I always find myself debating about what to read next and I go through various methods of choosing my next book and it just got me wondering, how does everyone else pick their next read?
Choosing the Next Read
As I write this, I'm in what I call "event" mode reading. I've a signing at the end of the month so I'm trying to read as many of this author's books that I can! As you can probably guess, it's Margaret Owen! Lol. She's been in the TBR pile for awhile so after I finished my last read and got over (mostly) my sickness I had to change up the next read and went into event mode. Now I am debating about what I'll do after I finish this duology as I could potentially start another duology for a signing that happens the week before Margaret in which I'll gain the second book of that other duology!
Other times I have review books to contend with, which I do have at least 2 of those waiting. As long as I get to them before their release date I feel fine about leaving them for now. One's in May and I want to say the other is Summer sometimes...
Then of course I have my TBR jars to fall back on when I can't really decide what to read, but honestly, I haven't had to "let fate decide" in awhile! Even if I cleared out my review books and am through with event mode reading I usually have an idea of what I want to read! So I just usually have to find that slip of paper to take out of my jar so I don't accidentally draw it in the future and think where is that book? Lol.
But yeah, it's either event mode, review book, or my choice that leads me to my next read. If I have to I will let fate decide with a TBR jar pick but I haven't gotten to that point yet. But those are the ways I determine my next read! What are yours?
