MY ANSWER: Sometimes! I'd say it could be 50/50, maybe 60/40. There are times when I can see something coming fairly easily, but then there are other times I am taken completely by surprise! It cracks me up though when I get it so wrong! Like one time I thought a side character the main character was interacting with a lot and just had this odd feeling around them, I could have SWORN it meant this side character was a ghost in some form! They were not. Not even close! Lol. Another time, I really thought a book was going to involve sinister killer mermaids...totally wrong on that one too! Lol. Not sure how I was concocting these farfetched ideas, I guess I was just trying to go for that total jawdropper that I thought was so easy to see, and well, I guess I was looking for something that wasn't there at all! Lol.

Other times when it's something more "simple" like or a well-used plot twist I can sometimes see that coming too! Like the mysterious stranger is really someone important...usually some role or figure that was mentioned earlier on. 

Basically it just kind of depends on what hints the author may drop and where my state of mind is in that moment! Lol.
