2025 YEAR OF BOOKS!
So no pretty picture this year. I guess blogging is really becoming a thing of the past but I am a creature of habit and can't seem to shake the hobby. It's what I do. I read books and then I blog about them! Lol. So it's that time of year again where I reflect over the reads that stood out to me the most!
READING STATS
Number of Books Read: 80
Number of Re-Reads:1
Genre I Read the Most From: Fantasy
Best in Books
Best Book I Read:
My most anticipated and of course favorite!
Book I Was Excited About and Thought I Would Love More But Didn't:
I read a lot of TBR books this year and after a few I was excited to read another of Ginny's but this one was such a disappointment.
Most Surprising Book I Read:
I expected to really enjoy this one, but wow! It was so much better than I anticipated!
Best Series Starter, Sequel, and Finale in 2025:
Alchemy of Secrets was obvious the start of what's going to be an amazing series!
The Robin on the Oak Throne was the second book of its series and really amps up the game!
The Shadow Bride might have been the only finale I read this year and I loved it! I was reading a lot of standalones and starting series, and trying to get caught up with them too!

Favorite New To Me Author:
Oh that was hard! I found quite a few new to me authors this year! I kind of had to pick one of them randomly! Lol.
Most Action-Packed/Thrilling/Unputdownable Book of the Year:
Sometimes the anticipation really builds you up for a book! So when I finally dived into this one I could not get enough of it!
Book I Read in 2025 That Would be MOST Likely to Re-Read Next Year:
Possibly, Stephanie mentioned a few projects in the works and I am not sure what's really up next, but whenever AoS #2 arrives I will most likely try to squeeze in a re-read!
Favorite Book Cover of 2025:
Ack, that was harder than I thought! I loved the colors and spooky vibes of this one!
Most Memorable Character of 2025:
I really liked getting to know Kierse in this series!
Most Beautifully Written Book of 2025:
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so this one just brought me back to my love of paranormal reads and that was just pure magical!
Book Series I Can't Believe I Waited Until 2025 to Read:
Alas, I still need to read the third book but this one just blew me away!
Shortest Book Read in 2025:
I decided not to count the graphic novels and I went by actual pages and not what Goodreads denotes as the total pages. That led me to this one which was 187 pages long!
Longest Book I Read in 2025:
This one came in at 641 pages!
OTP of the Year:
It was a tough one, but Cordelia and Bishop!
Book That Put a Smile on My Face:
I mean, obviously!
Looking Ahead
One Book That I Did Not Get to in 2025 But Will Be a Top Priority in 2026 (Hopefully):
Pretty much all last year I was reading towards events as I actually had at least one event to attend every month last year, a first in like ever! So naturally, this one fell through those cracks but I'm hoping to sneak into it soon!
Book I am Most Anticipating for 2026:
It's been ages since Rachel has had a new book out and even though I still have like 3 backlist titles of hers to read, I am still excited for new words from her!
Series Ending I Most Anticipate in 2026:
The series is technically already out, but is being revamped and republished and I still need to read book 2, but the third and final book will release this year and I am looking forward to (hopefully) bingeing the rest! Lol.
