Friday Hops

This blogger hop was created by Jennifer at Crazy for Books.

Here are the rules:
1. Enter your book blog link in the Linky List below (be sure to include how long you've been blogging and what genres you review!). If you post about the Hop on your blog, please link directly to your Hop post (don't forget to answer this week's question - see below!).
2. Visit other blogs in the Linky List! Make new friends! Follow new book bloggers! Talk about books! Rave about authors! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)
3. Post about the Hop on your blog! Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier!
4. In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!):

"Pick a character from a book you are currently reading or have just finished and tell us about him/her."

MY ANSWER:  Since I just finished Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick, I guess I will say--before I write up my review--how annoyed I was with Nora. I remember hearing things like this before I read it, and now I know why! She was just way too annoying in this book. I swear she wasn't thinking clearly at all! Or barely thinking, just making assumptions! And you know what they say when you assume...

Yeah. But despite how annoying she was, I am still looking forward to Silence and seeing how this whole story winds up. I must say that I still adore Patch!

This week's question is: Do you have anyone that you can discuss books with IRL? Tell us about him/her?

MY ANSWER: Uh...not really I guess. I might be too much of a hermit at times, but when I get talking about books and stuff you can't shut me up. Although I'm not sure many of my friends and family like to read my kind of books. One of my best friends is now finally getting into the genre so whenever we hang out we discuss whatever books we read that we think the other might like, but we don't usually go into too deep of details, that would be lead to spoilers. We've know each since high school, so 6 years now.

But my another of my friends, while she may not be a big reader, she does like vampires, werewolves and the like. So we usually go see those movies together and talk about them, I've know her since the 5th grade and we used to live right down the street from one another!

My other BFF doesn't really care for the vampire or other creatures of the night--as I have to tell her, there's more than vampires out there--genre. So amongst my 3 closest BFFs we all have different kinds of conversations that can somehow lead back to whatever book we may be reading. We get off topic a lot too!

And of course I cannot forget my friends at the Pride! Rachel Vincent's online forum! There a ton of us from all over talk about whatever books we're reading and get into loads on discussions about the books!

  12. Hi! Thanks for hopping through! :) Here I am hopping back.

It's kind of sad not to have anyone IRL to really talk books with, but we're lucky to have the online communities for sure!
