Top 5 Sundays is a weekly blog meme created by Larissa at Larissa's Bookish Life.
Here's a little info about the meme taken from Larissa's blog:
Every Sunday I will post a TOP 5 list on the blog. It can be about anything and every week I'll have a new theme {You can vote on next week’s theme on my left sidebar!} and I will ad the Mr.Linky bellow the post so you can do a list with the theme and add you link to it.
Rules:
1 - Write a post listing your TOP 5 choices within the theme I chose (or was chosen on a poll) for the week.
2 - Mention this Blog on the post and link back to it.
3 - Fell free to use the Feature's image (there is a smaller size version of it bellow)
4 - After you've finished your post, add you link (of the post, not your blog's main page) to the Mr.Linky at the end of that week's post.
5 – If you don’t have a blog to post, just leave your list in the comments =)
This week's topic is: FAVORITE DYSTOPIAN WORLDS
I too struggled with this one for the same reason as Larissa. Not too many of the books I read are in a dystopian world. But I gave it my best! A few series might not fit the definition exactly, but pretty close I think.
*in no particular order
Inside Out series by Maria V. Snyder
(Just love the UK cover for this series!! It totally fits with the storyline!)
The Demon Trappers series by Jana Oliver
The Crusade series by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguie
The Dante Valentine series by Lilith Saintcrow
Downside Ghosts series by Stacia Kane
(second book in the series pictured, I just love this cover the best from the series so far!)
Great list! the Downside Ghosts series totally fit~! Love it! =D
ReplyDeleteGreat list. I'm not a reader of Dystopian fiction so I cheated and used last week's topic. I'm almost positive that The Demon Trapper's Daughter is waiting for me at the post office but it's not open until Tuesday. :(
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Nice theme this week! I haven't read that many dystopian novels and this helps me add some to my TBR list!:D I really want to read Inside Out and The Downside Ghosts, I keep hearing great things about them!
ReplyDeleteI really liked Wither and The Hunger Games. :D
Happy Easter!
Ooooohhhh! I was just looking at Larissa's list and I would have never thought of the world of The Demon's Trappers Daughter... But it makes perfect sense! Great picks Jess!
