This week's question is: Have you ever looked at the young adult book section in a modern bookstore and felt out of touch or old? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
MY ANSWER: Not so much. They say age is just a number, so I don't really feel too old or out of touch. Usually I know what I am looking for in the YA section and can find it fairly easily. Although even new releases can still be difficult to find. One of my B&Ns has supremely tall shelves and I'm thinking...what teen is even THAT tall to get to those shelves?! Lol. I'm short so I either need to find one of those step stools or track down a tall employee if that's the only spot the new release is in...which it has been on occasion! At one point a LOT of the authors I loved were writing both adult and YA, so I basically went all over the store picking up their books. But no, I don't feel out of touch or old when I step into that section.
