Stacking the Shelves--Happy Surprise!

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality.

Another meh week. This weekend was the annual St. Louis Book Fair, but sadly, I didn't find anything. Either I came too late; i.e. the second day but the first free day 2.5 hours after it opened, as the SciFi/Fantasy table was practically empty! I've never seen a near empty table before at the book fair. Usually there are SOO many titles that it gets overwhelming trying to scan them all to see if I need anything! Lol. The YA section didn't really hold anything I needed either. Which all in all, is fine! It's not like I am lacking for new reads! Lol. But I always hope to find a treasure of some sort but not this year. Oh well! The week otherwise was pretty uneventful once again, also not complaining. I don't mind when work is slow, as I know it will be picking up like crazy by the end of the summer! So I am enjoying the slow times while I can! Lol. This week I do have an author signing to go to. Oddly, it's not an author I've read a lot from either. But I have an anthology with one of their stories in it and I have it signed by a few of the authors, so I thought, why not get her to sign it too? It's Seanan McGuire but she's coming as Mira Grant for a new sci-fi/horror style book. So it should be fun!

Here's what I got this week:

The Last Lost Girl by Casey Bond--SIGNED! I recently heard about this one and just as I was contemplating picking up a copy, the author had a wicked sale for this and the next book of the duet in a cool book box fashion that I decided to splurge!

The First Lost Boy by Casey Bond--SIGNED!
Also got a box full of goodies with a bar of soap, a compass, flower leis, bookmarks, a travel jewelry box, art prints, a fan, star glasses, and more!

Then for review from the publishers I received:

Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry (ARC)--this came as a complete surprise but it sounds pretty good so I might be starting this one soon!

THANK YOU Entangled!

The House Saphir by Marissa Meyer (ARC)

THANK YOU Macmillan!

And that was it for me this week! What all did you get?
