This week's question is: Are there any books that are considered terrible but you love? (submitted by Snapdragon @ Snapdragon's Alcove)
MY ANSWER: I'm sure there are, but I honestly can't think of any. Mainly because I enjoyed them and I usually just ignore the opinions of those who say they are terrible. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course! But I don't go looking to see why people thought one of my favorite reads was terrible. It can be from the big literary critics or the readers themselves. Everyone has a different opinion of what's a great novel and what's not. So I really can't think of a title that I loved that received massive criticism.
I know I had a college professor who basically said something along the lines of "most mainstream fiction is "garbage" but it's entertaining!" So I feel like it was one of those backhanded compliments...? Still loved her classes but yeah, that comment rubbed me wrong. Lol.
