Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality.
This was quite a week! Work is still going in high gear so things are intensely busy. There's just barely enough time to take a breath before the next assignment comes in and I've completed the first. I'll be glad when we get through November. I feel like in November things begin to slow down a little bit, it's still busier than usual, but it's not as intense as it is right now!
This was also Stephanie Garber's release week for Alchemy of Secrets and you all know how much I ADORE her books! I took Tuesday off to do a bit of book hunting for a strange misprint in the B&N editions, sadly not one of the 6 stores in my area had this mystical copy. Then Thursday night was when Stephanie came here and my friend, Nikole came into town for the visit as it was the closest stop to her! We hung out for the afternoon around the library and then had a blast listening to Stephanie talk about books, writing, and anything else! Naturally, we both had quite a stack of Alchemy of Secrets for her to sign as that was the only title she'd signed (plus 1 backlist, so I FINALLY got a signed copy of The Ballad of Never After since I was at the canceled stop with all my copies of that one too!). It was a most wonderful night. Then Friday I took off, ran some errands and Saturday I had a volunteer thing with my parents, so I am writing this post early in the morning.
Here's what I got...and the start of my Alchemy of Secrets collection, so don't worry. This isn't all of it, simply the US editions! Lol.
Alchemy of Secrets by Stephanie Garber--B&N ed. SIGNED!
Alchemy of Secrets by Stephanie Garber--standard ed. SIGNED!
Alchemy of Secrets by Stephanie Garber--standard ed. SIGNED!

A Strange Hymn by Laura Thalassa
The Emperor of the Evening Stars by Laura Thalassa
Dark Harmony by Laura Thalassa
The Devouring Light by Kat Ellis--Keeper copy!
Tourist Season by Brynne Weaver--another impulse decision! I was at Target doing the buy 2 get 1 free and since I was buying 2 books already, it seemed prudent to find a third!
For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn--another one I had been eyeing but then decided to wait for this gorgeous deluxe hardcover edition. I have zero impulse control when it comes to books.
Bitten by Jordan Stephanie Gray--UK edition! I caved. This one was SO pretty I just had to have a copy of it!
Night Study by Maria V. Snyder--SIGNED!
Dawn Study by Maria V. Snyder--SIGNED!
And that was it for me! I'm hoping in the next week or so my UK editions of Alchemy of Secrets will trickle in one by one! Then there's the other special UK editions that might take longer to get to me, but all in good time! What did you get this week?
