Stacking the Shelves--I Have No Shelf Control Edition Part 622

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality.

This wasn't a bad week! I had off on Thursday for the holiday so I used it to my advantage and drove to KC for a book signing! K.A. Linde was going to be at a bookstore there and since it was only a 4 hour drive, I thought, WHY NOT?! It was a lot of fun too! I found an outlet mall nearby and killed some hours there and bought a wee bit too much! Lol. This month was REALLY bad for impulse purchases as there were book signings I had to buy tickets in advance for, then there was exclusive book drops I couldn't pass up on, which was good as the books sold out before making it to general sales or even sub sales! So yeah, yikes! I'll share a few of my deals down below since some were bookish in nature! That's always the bad part about shopping alone, there's no one to talk you out of buying something. Or I guess it's also bad that I am usually pretty good at reining myself in with impulse purchases, but when I let myself slip just a wee bit...stuff happens and all of sudden I am really slipping! It also hurt me that both my parents have birthdays in June, Mother's Day was last month, Father's Day is also in June...so yeah...June was not good for me!

Anyway, here's what I bought and received this week...as obviously I bought book signing tickets too, but those won't show themselves for awhile! Lol.

A Wilderness of Stars by Shea Ernshaw--
I found the first printing HC at BAM in the bargain section for only $6 and since I only ever had an ARC...that I still need to read, I decided to buy it! Ernshaw's first print runs are SO pretty!
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst--another bargain find at BAM! Sarah is coming to St. Louis next month and I had to buy the second book so I had this in an Amazon order that I immediately canceled as this beauty was only $10! Amazon was charging almost $17 for the HC and I know the PB is out but you can't pass up $10 for a HC! Basically bought this and the above book for the price of this book on Amazon, plus I saved on spending the money for shipping! So I saved, right? Lol.
The Robin on the Oak Throne by K.A. Linde--SIGNED!

Then an impulse purchase last week that arrived this week was:

A Court This Cruel & Lovely by Stacia Stark--SIGNED! I recently bought her latest release and am SUPER excited for her vampire book in January but heard good things about this series too so I decided to give it a try with the first book!

Then my Fairy Loot edition of The Shadows Between Us arrived this week:

The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller--FL edition! I am loving this purple!!

Then some of the bookish goodies I bought on my roadtrip were:

A t-shirt from the bookstore! It's hard to tell in this pic, but it was a light purple and I couldn't resist! Plus I remember my friend Lisa at Lisa Loves Literature showing it off and I just had to get one myself! Lol. Probably need to buy one from my indie store as the same artist drew their store in this format and I think they had a t-shirt with it on it too...or I could be imagining it! I'll look next time I'm there!

A Peter Pan bookmark from BAM! I am really bad at not buying bookmarks when I really like them! The coloring was just so pretty and it was Peter Pan with everyone in the pretty sky AND it was the LAST ONE!

And I almost convinced myself not to buy this one, but it was the clearance section at B&N and I need a new quote journal as my leather one is literally falling apart at the spine! Remind me to never buy a leather journal again! The leather was peeling off every time I opened it and I was like this cannot do. I am pretty sure I might have some blank journals somewhere in my storage unit but then I saw this one that I want to put quotes from BOOKS in and it was just too perfect to pass up, so I caved since I was solo and no one told me to just deep dive into my storage unit someday soon!

So the moral of the story is...never shop alone! Which sucks for me because I usually am shopping alone! Lol. Guess it's a good thing I haven't found a house yet as I was really bad this month, but obviously if I had said house, I would've had to say no to a lot of the things I bought!

So what did you get this week? Were you good...or not so good, but also very good?! Lol!
