Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality.

This was actually a pretty tame week. This time I really have nothing to note! Work is slowly picking up. It comes it droves. Like one hour our requests come in back to back to back and everyone gets an assignment, then the next few hours are absolutely quiet and it rolls into tomorrow as well. All just the calm before the storm. We will probably just steadily increase for the next month or two before the September storm hits! Lol.

I didn't get too much this week! Which was nice after all I got last week!

The Starlight Heir by Amalie Howard--I had been eyeing this one for a little bit now and last week or the week before it was announced Amalie and Brigid Kemmerer would be coming to St. Louis in August, so I decided to buy it!
The Musician and The Monster by Megan Van Dyke--I keep meaning to read her books but haven't started them yet, I have the first book on my kindle (shocking I know!) and then this kindle book was on sale this week so I decided to buy it as well because you can't pass up $1!
Once Upon a Broken Heart set by Stephanie Garber--did I buy this set just for the newly colored cover of ACFTL? Yes. Yes, I did! I did preorder it with the preorder sale, so I got a deal! Lol. I was going to get the B&N one as well, but upon closer inspection the color didn't seem that different so I just got this one which is CLEARLY different! PLUS I've been meaning to buy another OUABH copy for an alternate cover I have and this helps my cause!

And then you might have seen my post on Instagram on Friday but we went out to dinner for my dad's birthday and while we were waiting for everyone to get there, I decided to play with a claw machine that was filled with rubber ducks! The best part was it said: PLAY TIL YOU WIN! So I thought for $1 why not and there were a few of these ducks reading a book in there and this guy was in the best spot for me to try to grab him.

Well, my first grab was unsuccessful. I grabbed a pirate duck who then flew out of the claw right as it was about to drop. On my second try, I literally grabbed the three ducks that were surrounding my book duck and I was like seriously?! THREE DUCKS but not MY DUCK? So naturally, I went back with another dollar and positioned the claw just right to get my happy little reading duck! The other three went to my niece and nephew who eventually showed up! Lol. Four ducks for $2 isn't bad at all!

And that was it for me this week! What did you get?
