Stacking the Shelves--The Beautiful Edges Edition

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality.

Another week in the books. This was a pretty mundane week. Work picked up a little bit with more requests trickling through and I of course got wrapped up in one that became super complicated and was giving me the worst headache and the request just kept going back and forth and all around. It was like a game of monkey in the middle. When I left Friday I am pretty sure it was still ongoing, but I was getting stressed and overtaxed with it that I was happy to put it to bed for a few days until Monday. June is looking pretty quiet for book events, although I am going to one in KC towards the end of the month that ought to be fun! Of course I think the one series she has is a duology...so I won't be reading the first book just yet...maybe I can time it right to read it beforehand so I can be ready for book 2 by the time I drive out there. She does have another one that's being reprinted from the looks of it that sounds like fun too! So I'll definitely read the first book of that trilogy ahead of time at least! Other than that June looks pretty dull. Lol.

Here's what I got this week:

13 to Life by Shannon Delany--the newly reprinted edition SIGNED! If you're somewhat new to me blog, or if you were around in 2010 when I became OBSESSED with Shannon Delany's soon to be debut 13 to Life you might be a little familiar with this one! Shannon received all the rights back to this series so she's reprinting them with fun extras. I can't remember if she said she was tweaking bits of the story itself, not changing anything major but little cosmetic type changes. But she also gave the series a new cover! It still has the same essence of the original series but I decided I HAD to at least get the first book! I love me a good indie book but they are soooo pricey! I have to be selective in buying physical formats with these. AND it came with a bunch of fun stickers and bookmarks!

The Wren in the Holly Library by K.A. Linde--an impulsive purchase I made at the start of my week! I want to read her newly reprinted vampire series that's coming out this week and so I came back around to looking at this book because I bought a ticket to her KC signing that already sold out where she's touring for both releases but mainly for this series I gather and it looks like it might be a duology? So we'll see how that goes! Plus it did sound like a fun read and I am off to a dicey start to June with my book buying habits!
Blood on her Tongue by Johanna Van Veen--I don't know what happened to me last Sunday! I was walking around B&N after I FINALLY found 1 of 2 copies of the previously mentioned book and then I saw this one and saw the cool blood design on the paperback book! I was just starting to think publishers were only doing this to hardcovers, so I made another impulsive purchase! This is what happens when you shop alone, no one can talk you out of these things!
Whispers of Dead Girls by Marlee Bush--this one was on my low radar so to speak and when I read a review from a friend, I was convinced it would be the thriller for me. So I used my return funds on my wayward book to buy this one for the most part! I had to add like $4 of my current money! Lol.

Then I got my Fairy Loot edition of The Shadow Bride! Once again, had NO idea it was shipping and it just magically arrived! I've tried reaching out to FL about the lack of email notifications but I don't think there's anything they can do on their end and I guess their server or whoever can't do much either as I've tried twice to see what was going on and there's really nothing that can be done! So it's always a surprise when they arrive...I just sometimes wish I can be better prepared for them on the off chance I'm out for a long part of the day!

The Shadow Bride by Shelby Mahurin--Fairy Loot edition!

And then as I was just popping into a store and found something I can get my dad for part of his Father's Day or birthday present--they are in the same week and then my mom's birthday is also in June, so this is already a pricey month for me! Lol.--I found this little shelf statue whatnot thingy! It kept making me laugh and since I love paranormal things and all that I decided to buy it for myself:

It says: Bigfoot doesn't believe in you either

And that was it for me this week! Next week I am hoping to get this week's release that I did not get in the mail as promised, so hopefully there's that to look forward to! Lol. What did you get this week?
