Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
This week's topic is: Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR
*in no particular order
1. UNSPOKEN by C.C. Hunter--one of my review books I am hoping to get to soonish! Still trying to squeeze in a few others in between...everything!
2. THE DEAD HOUSE by Dawn Kurtagich--I was trying to make October a spooky reads month, but I find that I cannot wait until then to read those! LOL.
3. NOT A DROP TO DRINK by Mindy McGinnis--one I've had for awhile and if things pan out...I might see Mindy sometime in October, so I want to try to read as much of her books as I can before then!
4. SURVIVE THE NIGHT by Danielle Vega--I liked The Merciless, so I am eager to read her next suspenseful read!
5. FIREWALKER by Josephine Angelini--sooo can't wait to read this one, so I am hoping to get to it soonish as well! Will squeeze Rowan in before this one too!
6. LEGEND: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL by Marie Lu, Leigh Dragoon, & Ill. by Kaari--really can't wait to read this one! Especially since Leigh helped out with the story, I loved how the Vampire Academy ones played out, so this is one I want to get to soon as well! At least it will be a fairly quick read too!
7. CURTSIES & CONSPIRACIES by Gail Carriger--fell massively behind in this series! So I need to get myself caught up before the series finale in November!
8. END OF DAYS by Susan Ee--I guess it's fitting that I am dragging my feet finishing this one off! I don't want it to be over!
9. THE IRON KING: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL by Julie Kagawa--another graphic novel based off a beloved series! Can't wait to see how this one looks and such!
10. AN EMBER IN THE ASHES by Sabaa Tahir--after all the rave reviews and even winning a copy of this one, I still haven't gotten around to reading it! But I am going to make it a priority...soonish! This fall basically! ;)
Not a Drop to Drink is one of my all-time favorite post-apocalyptic novels. The characters are just SO well written it's unbelievable. And it's heartbreaking. Suuuch an emotional rollercoaster.
ReplyDeleteI'm also looking forward to The Dead House. :) I have an ARC but most of the images are missing, so I went ahead and purchased a finished copy and I can't wait to get to it. I've heard such great things about it from a lot of reviewers I trust.
I read Survive the Night over the summer. It was fast-paced and interesting, but I liked The Merciless a lot more, especially character-wise. I hope you have a better/different experience!
The real deal... Sweet tease. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to read End of Days... then I forget. I really need to see how this series ends.
Oh wow! I love how she knows he is sincere!
ReplyDeleteUnspoken just came in and I am trying to re-arrange other books so I can get to it. Still team Steve but I am thinking I am going to lose.
My Teaser
I loved End of Days! It was really sad to see it end though. Great list!

I can't wait for Unspoken!!!! I'm hoping for an ARC. It's the end of Della's story!
ReplyDeleteOOOH! Lucienne Diver, love her! Actually, Survive the Night and An Ember in the Ashes are on my extended Fall tbr list. I'm hoping to start Firewalker soon. I didn't include it because I was hoping to get it read this month. It doesn't really feel like Fall yet since it's still so hot out, so I'm starting my "Fall" in October. Hopefully by then I can stop using the air conditioning. Great list!

Ooh you've got some awesome books on your TBR! I have heard a lot of good things about Not a Drink to Drop but have never got around to reading it myself. And I'm hoping to start Angelfall soon so will be interesting to see what you think of the whole trilogy as a whole. :D

Obsessive Compulsive Reader
You haven't read Not a Drop to Drink??? Why not?! The Dead House is on my TBR as well. I'm debating whether or not I want to buy Blood and Salt right now. I want to add more spooky books to my October TBR, but I need to calm down with the book buying.
ReplyDeleteSurvive the night! I want to read that one! I had forgotten all about it until I saw this. All these books look great! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you LOVE End of Days, I certainly did! I need to get to An Ember in the Ashes too!
