Let us journey back to Disney Facts Revealed: Answers to Fans' Curious Questions by Dave Smith! I am most excited to continue to delve further into this book! Here are a few more answered questions! And remember I am kind of summarizing the question and answer together to form a factoid! ;)

Disney liked to do unique things when it came to premiering a big motion picture. Such as premiering Pocahontas in New York's Central Park. For The Hunchback of Norte Dame, Disney held the premiere in New Orleans' Superdome. The film was projected on all six of the huge screens in the dome. Afterwards a huge parade followed starting from Jackson Square and traversing the French Quarter. That following year, there was a parade in NYC for the premiere of Hercules.

Only one of the songs from The Three Caballeros was an original one, and that was "mexico" by Charles Wolcott and Ray Gilbert. The other songs came from Mexican composers such as Augustin Lara and Ary Barroso but had English lyrics written by Ray Gilbert.

  2. I love the idea of a Disney premiere outside, with large screens, for anyone to see! It'd be cool if they could do that in Baltimore these days. Even with today's frigid weather, I'd go! :D

    Great post, Jessica. =)
