Mini Review--The Witch's Halloween Heroby Kristen Painter

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.

Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.

When a spell goes wrong on the night of Samhain for witch Corette Williams, her only hope is the man she loves, Bartholomew Stanhill. But time is running out. As the clock ticks toward midnight on Halloween, they grow closer to the moment when magic will erase him from her mind. Can Stanhill become Corette’s Halloween hero?

After reading through one novella so quickly, I decided to add on another! Thank goodness for cell phones! LOL! Kristen Painter’s The Witch’s Halloween Hero was the first novella she wrote for the series at large and I found this one to be a little more enjoyable! There was definitely a better dose of conflict in this one, but I still kind of hoped that there would be more. This is why it’s dangerous to read short stories! LOL!

Corette was accidentally hit with a spell her daughter has whipped up for a friend. She has forgotten all about her love for Bartholomew which makes it rather hard for Bartholomew to propose tonight like he planned at the big Halloween ball! He’s going to have to do everything he can to get Corette to fall in love with him again or else she might forget about him forever.

It was rather sweet watching Stanhill (Bartholomew) to everything he possibly could to win Corette back. And in this way, he truly was just trying to win her over. Corette has lost her memories of her love for him, but she is finding herself to slowly fall in love with this man she just met!

A short read no doubt, but one that was positively sweet! Definitely a recommendation for all fans of Nocturne Falls! And one for those who are considering wanting to try the series out but haven’t made a commitment yet. While the novellas might contain some minor spoilers for previous couples, it will still give you a nice taste for this little town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year! It’s a series that’s fun and exciting and always puts a smile on my face!

Overall Rating 4/5 stars
