Stacking the Shelves--the Spectacular Mega Haul +Nashville Souvenirs!!

This weekly meme is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!

So I had a heck of a week when it came to getting books! BOTH my Book Outlet orders came in, plus my B&N orders I placed last weekend, then a few preorders and 1 spur of the moment order due to a super sale...so I likely spent too much on books! LOL!

This is my combined orders from the Book Outlet, as you can see my first row on top, consists of books I already have...yet I am using 2 as keeper copies and the other 2 are new covers for a series I love!

Reborn by C.C. Hunter--KEEPER COPY
Eternal by C.C. Hunter--KEEPER COPY
Poison Princess by Kresley Cole--New cover copy
Endless Knight by Kresley Cole--New cover copy
Tarnished by Rhiannon Held--I still need to read Silver, but when I saw this one, which is the second in the series for like $4 for a hardcover, I couldn't pass it up.
Spirit Walk by Richie Tankersley Cusick--I read one of her books years ago and when I saw this one, I thought it sound intriguing! It's actually a compilation of 2 books, so YAY!
Elegy by Tara Hudson--SIGNED! I had to pick this one up because I missed seeing Tara 2 years ago when she came to St. Louis and the signing got canceled and I totally missed the impromptu get together the authors had with whichever readers showed up. There were many tears that day...and cookie dough.
In the After by Demitria Lunetta--I was curious about this one awhile back, so when I saw this first book at Book Outlet, into the cart it went!

Then these are books I either preordered, ordered last weekend and one impromptu order!

Led Astray by Kelley Armstrong--KEEPER COPY!
Dark Shimmer by Donna Jo Napoli
Diary of a Haunting by M. Verano
In the Shadows by Kiersten White & Jim Di Bartolo--my impromptu buy! It was only $6 and change when I bought it on Amazon this week! Plus I had been thinking about it for awhile now!
In a Handful of Dust by Mindy McGinnis--a preorder steal of $5 and change!

So out of these 13 books, I only need to read 7! So about half! YAY! Now I just need a house and MORE bookcases to put all these beloved treasures in so ALL my multiple and different copies can be together!! That's the ultimate dream! LOL! Right there with becoming a published writer, reading ALL the books, winning the lottery, and all those other dreams of mine! ;)

And then I got some lovely souvenirs from my time in Nashville:

Here are my magnets! As I now collect magnets from every city I see in author in!
One that just says: Nashville with some popular tourist sites
And one of the golden statue of Athena from the Parthenon!

Then I bought this little sculpture of the Parthenon! Mostly because I bought one from Greece and wanted to have one from Nashville too! They look pretty much alike for the most part except the material used and the base of the white one! That third picture is the one of them together! LOL.

Then it was as I was taking my magnet and statue to the cashier, I saw these gorgeous sculptures behind them. One of which was this OWL sitting on a stack of BOOKS!

I already knew that the owl is associated with Athena, and I've always loved Greek mythology. When I saw this piece I first thought Harry Potter! Hedwig! BOOKS!! And yeah, I ended up buying and spending wayyy more at that little gift shop than intended. But it was such a lovely piece. I couldn't help but buy it! Definitely surprised my mom when I walked out of the gift shop with a big bag instead of a little one!

And in case the script is hard to read in the close up picture, here's what it says:

"The OWL personifies wisdom, knowledge and human experience. In Greek mythology, the goddess Athena represents the necessary attributes of the owl, and while in Roman mythology the owl is related to Minerva, the goddess of wisdom and promoter of sciences, arts and handicrafts."

And that was my spectacular mega haul!! What did you get?
