If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

This week's topic is: Ten Characters You Just Didn't Click With

*in no particular order

**and on a side note...PLEASE DON'T HATE ME! ;)

1. GRACE from Of Demons & Angels series--at least in this most recent installment! It was moreso she annoyed me with her behavior. She got a little too whiny and it almost came to the point where I just didn't care if she lived or died! Or died again, LOL!
2. KYRA from Midnight Thief--this series really wasn't what I was expecting. Which was sad. I was deeply intrigued, but I think somewhere along the lines I lost interest in Kyra's going abouts.
3. MAE from Gameboard of the Gods--I was deeply sad to not be taken with this series as I love Richelle Mead's other books. Maybe there were just TOO many characters that I never got an understanding of any of them.

4. FINN from the Trylle trilogy--yeah, I never really clicked with Finn. It wasn't that I hated him or anything. I just didn't get him. His actions never really matched up with his words. So he aggravated me a lot.
5. TERESA from the Maze Runner trilogy--I never quite understood her or her motives. Looking back, I think there was a lot in this series that caused me to pause. So many questions and mysteries. But yeah...never really clicked with Teresa either.
6. SOPHIE from Soul Screamers series--pretty much annoyed me throughout the series. She was a despicable person. Though when we did get her own novella we kinda see into her head and all that. By the end I didn't hate her 100%, but still, she was never among my fave characters of this series.

7. MIRABELLE from Kill Me Softly--really dug in my memory to find this one! I remember really disliking this book too. I guess because I thought Mirabelle was just one of those characters who couldn't see the obvious right in front of her face. She nagged at me and basically, I couldn't "connect" with her.
8. LILY from Reawakened--now don't get me wrong with this one and my next pick. I LOVED the book. Truly loved it. But I didn't really connect well with Lily right away. A rich privileged girl having a rough go of life? Ehh...let's switch lives and let's see how rough you truly have it! So yeah, didn't care for her complaining in the beginning, but she did grow on me in the end!
9. EVIE from The Diviners--another I didn't connect with right off the bat! Mainly because Evie is a total party girl. And at 17, I was pretty much like I am now. A homebody who just loves to read! So seeing her drink and live it up, really just made me feel disconnected! Even with the whole age difference, and time difference! LOL! Still Loved the book though!

10. BELLA from Twilight--enough said, right? And I'm not even touching on the Bella from the movies. But book Bella and I didn't mesh well either!

  1. I know what you mean about Bella. Especially ever since I have read so much romance I have over the years, Twilight just doesn't even match up to any of them. But Bella I had a hard time with, she just seemed kinda "bleh" but I loved Edward's family...they are a hoot. Just wished she had done a better job of writing Bella.

  2. Oh my flames on the wall? What a great tease. I hated Sophie in the Soul Screamer series- kept hoping she would die and stay dead.

  5. I didn't connect with Bella either (really? a boyfriend who is a vampire? and an OLD boyfriend? I don't think so!)

Here's my Characters I Just Didn't Click With.

  6. Thomas from Maze Runner made my list this week. I didn't like that series at all really so I just put the main character in there. So sad to hear about Gameboard of the Gods, I was looking so forward to it! Great list :)

  8. I TOTALLY agree with Bella. I didn't like her when I read the book when I was 12, and I still don't like her 8 years later. I haven't read the other books though! So I'll have to see what I think of them!

  10. Great teaser! I've got that on my TBR list, but that teaser makes me want to get into it now! I haven't read any of the books on your Top Ten, except for Twilight. Bella got on my nerves too. I did like Edward and Jacob, but why they put up with Bella, I'll never know. Thanks for visiing my blog! Old follower :)

  11. I definitely agree with Theresa, I never liked her, Lily who just felt flat to me, and Bella who I always found boring. I do like Evie though. Maybe because I'm a homebody too but I liked living vicariously through her party girl ways. Great list.

  12. You're finally reading it!! *dances*

I didn't like Evie either at first, but I was surprised by just how many layers she had! Some of my favorite chapters in LoD are from Evie's POV!

  13. How did you like the Soul Screamers series? I've had them on my TBR for a long while now but still haven't gotten around to them.

  14. I had a hard time getting into Reawakened and Gameboard of the Gods too. However, I actually loved Switched, Twilight, Never to Sleep, and Soul Corrupted. I posted a HUGE list of September releases today! You should check it out! Have a good week!

  17. I didn't have a problem with book Bella. I thought her actions and thoughts fit with who she was. I can see not clicking with Theresa and Sophie. The others I haven't read yet. Great list!

  18. The teaser you shared sent shivers down my spine!

I enjoyed reading your top ten list too. I am hoping to read The Diviners soon. I wasn't the party girl at that age either. So it'll be interesting to see how I relate to Evie.

  19. 'I'm back'... scary. It doesn't sound like their return is going to be a good thing.
I haven't read all your top ten but I agree with your comments reguarding Finn and Bella. I didnt form much of a connection with those two either.

  20. I'm with you on Teresa from The Maze Runner. I've only read the first two books so far, but I'm not crazy about her. We shall see how I feel after the last book.
