Friday Hops

This blogger hop was created by Jennifer at Crazy for Books.

Here are the rules:
1. Enter your book blog link in the Linky List below (be sure to include how long you've been blogging and what genres you review!). If you post about the Hop on your blog, please link directly to your Hop post (don't forget to answer this week's question - see below!).
2. Visit other blogs in the Linky List! Make new friends! Follow new book bloggers! Talk about books! Rave about authors! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)
3. Post about the Hop on your blog! Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier!
4. In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!):

If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?

MY ANSWER: Ooh that's a tough one. There are so many books I love reading because the world is our world, just with supernaturals running around. My answer will be old school, I wouldn't mind spending a day with Julian in the Shadow World from L.J. Smith's The Forbidden Game trilogy! The world was super creepy, but wicked awesome and Julian was one of those bad guys you couldn't help but love!

Wanted to get the old school cover up but couldn't find the image in the right size so it could be seen! I have the older cover that has all 3 stories in it and read it years ago. Before I even knew she had The Vampire Diaries out!

This week's question is: It's circle time. Time for us to open up and share. Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them...

MY ANSWER: Oh man...quirky? :)

1. I'm very OCD with my books. I like keeping them organized and I don't like to wear out the spines because it just drives me crazy. I'm told that creased spines shows you loved the book because you read it so much, nowadays I think the opposite because you don't show respect for the book. (Yeah, I'm weird)

2. I'm a Disney fanatic! Love all things Disney--within reason. None of that Hannah Montana stuff, I'm thinking more classic Disney with Beauty and the Beast...those movies and new ones like Tangled! Totally love Disney World and can't wait to go back. Love going to the Disney Store too, but they closed a lot of them so the only one I can go to is the one near my aunt in Wisconsin!

3. While I love my Disney movies, I also enjoy a good action-y/sci-fi flick. Like Underworld, Blade, Van Helsing...etc. (And the classic horror movies, The Creature from the Black Lagoon)I myself think that's weird. I'm on the "dark side" as my friends like to tease me, but yet I love Disney!

4. I'm a cookie dough addict! I'd much rather eat raw cookie dough than the actual cookie!

5. I'm 23 years old and I honestly don't like to drink much. It seems almost everyone else I know got drunk on their 21st birthday, and me? I don't really care for the taste of alcohol. I've had a few drinks here and there, but I'd much prefer a soda than alcohol. (Kind of sad, but I've never been "normal" with my generation!)

  1. I haven't heard of the Forbidden Game Trilogy. I'll have to check that out.

I'm totally with you on the cookie dough though! Mmmmm...

I'm not a big drinker either. I'm 25, but I never have been. The problem for me is that it makes my stomach hurt after just a few sips. The only thing I can safely drink is White Russians. Which are yummy. lol

  3. Back/Sneeze. Thanks for dropping by, Yup, I didn't think it was possible either but since then I have talked to about 5 people who have done the same thing. It was pretty painful.ANd, I am afraid of sneezing - I know now that you can even tear muscles sneezing. It is best to have your back supported when you sneeze.

  4. I am the same way about my book spines! It really bothers me when people break the spines. Ugh! I LOVE Tangled! Omg, it's such a cute movie! And I'd totally rather eat the dough than the actual cookie. Yum!!

  10. Hopping through and now following, too!

We sound very similar - I'm in my early 20s, rarely drink, and love baking and original Disney films. That sucks they have been closing the Disney stores in your area :(

    Take care

  13. I’ve seen a lot of great picks and gathered some fresh titles to add to my ever-growing TBR list. My answer will probably stun most people because the world I picked is a place most people would be scared to death of and try to escape from. Me? I want in.

  15. I love Disney classics!! I think I own most of them and have to buy any dvds that they bring out from "the vault". Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  16. I'm particular about my book care, too. Unless it's a $6 paperback that I know I can't keep un-creased no matter how hard I try, I want my books to be /pristine/.

    Also a Disney fan. :-)

  17. I love cookie dough as well but I had to give it up. I'm missing it as I type.

  18. Hopping through. I'm a Disney fan too. I do like Hannah Montana, but I love the classic animated movies like Beauty and the Beast.

  19. Hi, Jessica. Thanks for stopping by. That's right: turtles. The only reason I know about it is that I've been told twice. I don't know if it's a throwback to the tiny turtles I would find and try to keep as pets when I was little or what. I'm just as bewildered as everyone else. :P

  20. Thanks for stopping by my blog :o)

YUM bread! I'm also OCD with books and not breaking the spines. I like to take care of them and have them look new even though I've read them. And cookie dough is the best!

  21. Haha I adore disney everything too! :) My cousin has the same OCD with her books. She won't even let me borrow them anymore :(
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love hearing from you :D

  22. I love Disney too! They're awesome. And I'm not a drinker either, even though most of my friends are. So now, I'm seeing them even less since 5/7 days they're basically out drinking. It's the alcohol taste that is gross.

    Thanks for stopping by! :)

  24. Stumbled on the site through Follow Friday. I will make sure to keep up. Oh man, the only things I'm OCD about are my books and my movies. They're always alphabetized and organized neatly. Everything else, not so much. So, I hear you on that.
