Follow Friday

This is a weekly blog meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read

The Rules:

  • The goal is to increase blog followers, make friends and have something to post.
  • You create your own post using the post prompt.
  • You leave your link and thumbnail in the linky list that links back to your post prompt.
  • Once you have your post up and linked, visit other posts and tell them hi. The point is to FOLLOW them not just comment.
  • If you see a post that just hit it to the moon, or just want to show appreciation to a fellow blogger friend, like their name on the linky list to show some appreciation.
  • The person with the most likes gets chosen as the next Feature (you can be chosen every 90 days unless we are in need of features)
  • It is required that if you participate that you have to follow the FEATURE. It is a big no-no to participate and ignore the feature. They are the special snowflake in this little blizzard.
  • As a participant it is up to your discretion on how you want people to follow. Please post RSS, GFC etc if you have a follow of choice.

Specific RULES:

  • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
  • If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed FOLLOW as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  • Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  • If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers

This week's prompt is: What are Two of Your Favorite Book to Movie Adaptations?

MY ANSWER: Ugh, two? That's so hard! Well, first, I'm going to go with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! I thought that a lot of the Harry Potter movies were done really well. Though, I will still argue fiercely over how wrong it was to replace Dobby with Neville in the fourth movie.

Second pick? Hmm...I guess I'll go with Divergent. I can't remember the book all that well, but from what I could recall, it did rather well. I know the second one took some turns and changes and I'm pretty sure the third one did that too. But I haven't seen it yet because I want to watch these "parts 1 & 2" back to back!

  2. I agree with HP, but on Divergent the feelings are not so mutual, not after what they decided to do with the final book.
    Have a Happy Friday!

  4. I have Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on my picks too! It's my favorite of the bunch. I'm agreed with you about Dobby and Neville, however, for how the movie was unfolding, it has more sense to use Neville because then we saw how fond he was for Herbology, something we didn't know until that moment.

I haven't read Divergent, I saw the first movie but I didn't like very much!

  5. I like your two choices. I’m a big Harry Potter nerd! As for the Divergent series I didn’t read the books because I got the ending spoiled. I thought that Insurgent was the final film . To my shock it wasn’t. Just recently, I heard that The last Divergent movie (Ascendant) will be skipping movie theaters and heading straight for television, where it will also become spinoff TV series. I’m very apprehensive about this. Are they thinking about changing the ending? We shall see. I followed on Twitter and Bloglovin!

  6. It's so funny you mentioned these--while neither of them were on my list, there's discussion of why not about both! :)

  7. I also had Harry Potter (the entire series) on my list today. I didn't want to single out just one - too hard to pick!

  12. Harry Potter and Divergent were popular picks this week. I'm surprised I didn't think of it. I should do a big rewatch of all the movies.
