Follow Friday--is this the last one?! :(

This is a weekly blog meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read

The Rules:

  • The goal is to increase blog followers, make friends and have something to post.
  • You create your own post using the post prompt.
  • You leave your link and thumbnail in the linky list that links back to your post prompt.
  • Once you have your post up and linked, visit other posts and tell them hi. The point is to FOLLOW them not just comment.
  • If you see a post that just hit it to the moon, or just want to show appreciation to a fellow blogger friend, like their name on the linky list to show some appreciation.
  • The person with the most likes gets chosen as the next Feature (you can be chosen every 90 days unless we are in need of features)
  • It is required that if you participate that you have to follow the FEATURE. It is a big no-no to participate and ignore the feature. They are the special snowflake in this little blizzard.
  • As a participant it is up to your discretion on how you want people to follow. Please post RSS, GFC etc if you have a follow of choice.

Specific RULES:

  • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
  • If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed FOLLOW as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  • Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  • If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers

This week's prompt is: Scariest First Book?

MY ANSWER: That's a tough one! I can't remember too much really. Mostly because I don't think books creep me out that much, only because I can censor what I'm reading! Lol! If it gets too creepy, I tone my imagination down some! LOL!

But I think one was Haunted by Tamara Thorne! I picked this one up because I was wanting something paranormal, something weird, so creepy had to do!

Its violent, sordid past is what draws bestselling author David Masters to the infamous Victorian mansion called Baudey House. Its shrouded history of madness and murder is just the inspiration he needs to write his ultimate masterpiece of horror. But what waits for David and his sixteen-year-old daughter, Amber, at Baudey House, is more terrifying than any legend…

First comes the sultry hint of jasmine. . .followed by the foul stench of decay. It is the dead, seducing the living, in an age-old ritual of perverted desire and unholy blood lust. For David and Amber, an unspeakable possession has begun. . .

"…a wonderful, terrifying book…a worthy successor to The Shining and Ghost Story." --Nancy Holder, New York Times bestselling author

"…a tapestry of chills and scares that will be remembered long after the lights have gone out." --Douglas Clegg

"Combines eerie eroticism with page-turning terror." --Pasadena Weekly

"Don't read it if you've got something else to do. . .it just might have to wait." --After Hours

  1. I forgot to do my memes today but I was also wondering if they were quiting the meme since nobody has put any more down...bummer.

My first Scary book was Pet Semetary by Stephen King, I was about 12 when I read it. :)

  2. So sad to hear it's ending, but I haven't helped at all as I've been unable to participate in so long. :(

The first scary story/book I remember is Grimm's Fairytales. The library wouldn't let me check out Stephen King, even with parent permission, but that giant, pretty tome? No problem. *chuckles*

  3. Sorry to see the end of this feature. I think I am kind of like you in that I don't really get scared over books. I must tone things down in my head.
