Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

This was another exhausting week. I keep hoping everyday something will come along, but I'm still waiting for that magical job to accept me! My commute is miserable, I was able to leave a little early on Friday, only to sit in the worst traffic ever at TWO FREAKING O'CLOCK!!! It was dreadful, I mean seriously, did everyone in the world decide to work a halfday or something because that was nuts and I was only leaving early so I could take care of my mom's dogs because they're used to being let outside at lunchtime and that obviously didn't happen that day! Luckily, they made it through the day with no troubles! Whew!

This was an odd week where I didn't really add much to my TBR pile! I did do a little tax-free clothes shopping and picked up a few pencils and other odds and ends in the school supply section because I apparently can't not buy anything like that! Lol.

For review I received:

The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller (ARC)
Unearthed by Cecy Robson (ARC)

THANK YOU Feiwel and Friends & Caffeinated PR!

Then other bookish items I acquired this week were:

After what life's been throwing at me lately, I thought I could really use this necklace. It says: Don't let the hard days win

This came from the Etsy shop: Brio and Brandish

Then last weekend I ordered these bookmarks from B&N since I never could find them in store. So now in about two weeks or so they will likely appear in store!

The panda bear one says: It's Not Hoarding if it's Books

Then the one on the right says: My Favorite People are Fictional

And that was it for me in the bookish world! What did you get?

  1. I really hope you get a job soon! Idk if you're Christian, but my only comfort for when I was searching for a job and spent a year without one, was that God knows better for me and He already has my job saved for the right time. And that what I was going through at the time of no job was for a reason for my growth and thanks to that, I was able to be at peace :)

  2. I really hope you'll be able to find a new job soon, Jessica! It sounds really exhausting to have such a long commute all the time - and being stuck in traffic is so energy draining.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  3. The commute can be crushing. If pencils give you comfort, buy pencils. Hang in there.

  6. Is that neckless from ACOTAR??? The saying sounds familiar, but it was the mountains and starts that clued me in. I actually ordered something similar after reading ACOMAF last week (I'm late to the series), and cannot wait for it to arrive!!
