Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

Another week down and one month of the year survived! I had an interview last week and while I thought it went well, I still haven't heard back from the company. I know this doesn't mean anything, but it always sends me in a panic especially when everyone wants to get the position filled ASAP! And despite my job situation, I'd still like to give 2 weeks notice, so you know, it's still 2 weeks post ASAP! And then I worry what if I was good but this other person is all right and they're available NOW versus my two weeks notice?! I know, I know! Illogical thinking, but these are the thoughts that have haunted me in the 7 months of intense job searching!

But it wasn't all bad, because BOOKS! And ironically, I didn't really add that much to my TBR pile! Lol! But it's always nice to get SOMETHING in the mail that's not a bill or other junk! AND...I was told 2/2 of my VERY SPECIAL orders have shipped and I am ready to hire someone to wait at my mailbox because I just KNOW a signature will be needed for these...will have to wait until they arrive in the States before I figure all that mess out! Lol!

Anyway, here's what I bought:

Wicked Bite by Jeanine Frost--and soon as I get through my review books I am SO binge reading the two books!!
A Lovely Drop by Darynda Jones--a freebie read I got when I signed up on her newly redesigned website!

Then my January Fairy Loot Box arrived! Shock of all shocks was that I went totally unspoiled for this box...and yet, I found myself a little lackluster over the book. I'm not sure it's going to be a "me" kind of read, but we'll see I guess.

And then I got the Illumicrate Pin of the Month for January since it was ACSDAL related! I love the series so I decided I had to buy that one!

I wasn't sure if this would be something spoilery to post or not. So I didn't include the picture, though I know people are posting it online. I saw what it looked like legit hours before I got home to check my mailbox. In some sense, it's not as big of a spoiler to see the pin design as it is to see an ENTIRE BOX'S worth of contents. Perhaps I'll post it later this month.

And that was it for me this week! Next week is sure to be a blast as I've at least 4 books coming in!! Squee!!! So much book mail! Lol! What did you get this week?

  5. Fun new additions! I don't tend to do Fairy Loot because of shipping, but I love their stuff. What do you do with your pins? I have way too many and they just sit in a box. Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Thanks for stopping by my SP & STS. A Darynda Jones freebie! Lucky you! So sorry about the long job search. My brother has had about 4 years of jumping from job to job that 100% has nothing to do with him, his work, or his qualifications, so I can sympathize with the difficulties of that. I hope you hear something soon. Sometimes just not knowing is the hardest part. Have a great week!
