Book Blogger Hop

This blogger hop was created by Jennifer at Crazy for Books.

Here are the rules:
1. Enter your book blog link in the Linky List below (be sure to include how long you've been blogging and what genres you review!). If you post about the Hop on your blog, please link directly to your Hop post (don't forget to answer this week's question - see below!).
2. Visit other blogs in the Linky List! Make new friends! Follow new book bloggers! Talk about books! Rave about authors! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)
3. Post about the Hop on your blog! Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier!
4. In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!):
"What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"

One book I heard a lot about and the series being great was Jennifer Estep's Spider's Bite. For some reason I just couldn't get into it. Something about the writing style bugged me and I reflected this in my review. I went in wanting to love it, but I just couldn't. And I hated to talk about all the bad things in the book that everyone so loved. So in my review, I just expressed why this book didn't work for me. That other people still like the series and I wanted to be one, but just couldn't get over some things.

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Peer pressure of sorts can be hard to ignore, but it's important for reviews to stay honest.

Hope you have a good weekend!

  10. Hopping through. I've never heard of Spider Bites...or it's author. There's so many books that I don't know about - and it seems like I know everything :-)

  12. hi :) I've seen Spider's Bite around but haven't really had the inclination to pick it up. I like that in your review you shared that you really wanted to like it but couldn't and here's why. To me that's the way to do it.

Yeah my review for Hollow is up. It's one of my earlier reviews so I was trying to get a feel for it. in the books defense I'd just lost my BFF to swine flu complications so I deeply grieving. Now there's the chance I'd see it as "maybe" tragic but then it was cruel. I've thought about reading it now I have a little distance from the pain and maybe sometime I will. It was a REALLY violent reaction and for someone who reveres her books, me wanting to burn it says alot. I'd read it though - you may be in a better place than I was and be able to see it different. The book just hit WAY too many emotional buttons *takes a deep breath* Seems it still bothers me a little LOL

Thanks for coming by and sorry for the ramble!
