In case I hadn't officially announced or made clear the other day, I GOT A JOB!!! Woohoo! I'm pretty happy, as these past couple of months have been stressful. My family has been awesome and I continue to be more grateful and thankful for my mom every day! No one ever told me how hard adulting was going to be! LOL!
So I officially start next Monday and it's likely my reading will suffer. Hopefully not too much, because a girl's gotta read! Hence the reason why I am tackling the 500+ page book this week! Heehee!
And I suspect sometime next month I will be having that contest I've been promising you all! I forget how many I owe after my blogoversary from January, so I'll make sure it's a good one with multiple winners! And I am getting my job just in time for the Spooktacular Giveaway in October! I had planned on doing that one regardless, because I love it so much! Though I haven't really started planning it yet, which is a shock! Seems like the last 2 years, I had it somewhat planned out by now! Though hopefully I can start my "scary" reads sometime soonish and I might just choose one of those!
Really happy to get a job about now too as it will be just before the holidays and I can start saving up for all that shopping! Plus I can save up for when my family and I plan to go to Disney World next year! We don't have a date set out yet...kind of planning it with more extended family members and plus, we're waiting for the Frozen ride to open up!
This job will be good for me. If my memory recalls right, I don't think there's much chance for growth, but at least I can add more to my resume and hopefully that might open doors further down the road to a job with growth and all that!!
Now back to reading!! (after I do a few more things on the internet first! ;) )
Congrats Jessica!! I hope you love your new job :D

Congratulations!! Being an adult sucks so bad. I swear, the other day after trying to sell the car, putting new tires on the other car, trying to figure out new health insurance, and paying the rent, I called my mom and told her "I'm done being an adult for this week," and proceeded to do absolutely NOTHING for the rest of the day. I hope you get to take a break from real life soon at Disney World!! :D

ReplyDeleteDay jobs do cut on the reading time for sure, but the money is good for buying more books, which in turn is bad for the TBR pile... or is it good? Hell, who knows!
