I hate waiting...
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog post by Jill over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights releases we're eagerly awaiting. The battle rages on.
Ali Bell and Cole Holland's crew of zombie slayers thought they'd won the war against Anima Industries, the evil company responsible for capturing and experimenting on zombies in an effort to discover the secret to immortality. In the last epic clash, the slayers lost many of their crew and closest friends. But Frosty, the ice man himself, has not recovered from one casualty in particular—the love of his life, Kat Parker.
On the path to self-annihilation, Frosty receives a message from beyond—Kat's spirit returns, insisting he partner with rogue slayer Camilla Marks. Frosty will do anything for Kat. Except that. Camilla is the one who betrayed them all, leading to Kat's death.
But when Anima rises from the grave to become a force the slayers may not have the strength to overcome, Frosty, Camilla and all the slayers will have to work together to survive. And one broken slayer will learn that sometimes, the line between hate and attraction is blurred…and the road to redemption isn't through revenge, but in letting go of the past and grabbing hold of the future.
Soooo can't wait to read this one!! Glad to see that the story isn't over yet!! Though not sure how I like this cover model. She looks nothing like the original one. Or could it be Camilla? I haven't read the series in what feels like forever because I read them as ARCs, I can't remember Camilla off the top of my head...but regardless, so CAN'T. WAIT!
TITLE: A Mad Zombie Party
AUTHOR: Gena Showalter
PUBLISHER: Harlequin Teen
GENRE: Paranormal YA
RELEASE DATE: September 29, 2015
Grace Mae knows madness.
She keeps it locked away, along with her voice, trapped deep inside a brilliant mind that cannot forget horrific family secrets. Those secrets, along with the bulge in her belly, land her in a Boston insane asylum.
When her voice returns in a burst of violence, Grace is banished to the dark cellars, where her mind is discovered by a visiting doctor who dabbles in the new study of criminal psychology. With her keen eyes and sharp memory, Grace will make the perfect assistant at crime scenes. Escaping from Boston to the safety of an ethical Ohio asylum, Grace finds friendship and hope, hints of a life she should have had. But gruesome nights bring Grace and the doctor into the circle of a killer who stalks young women. Grace, continuing to operate under the cloak of madness, must hunt a murderer while she confronts the demons in her own past.
In this beautifully twisted historical thriller, Mindy McGinnis, acclaimed author of Not a Drop to Drink and In a Handful of Dust, explores the fine line between sanity and insanity, good and evil—and the madness that exists in all of us.
This one sounds sooo good! A historical thriller! EEP! I love a good thriller, so let's see it done with a historical twist! I'm totally game!

ReplyDeleteKrystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Alice in Wonderland was never my favorite fairy-tale but this series sounds super interesting. Maybe it's worth giving it a go :D
ReplyDeleteI love Gena Showalter. I haven't read any of her YA Para Romance but this looks like an interesting read. I hope you enjoy it!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the cover and synopsis of the second book, A Madness So Discreet! I'm adding it to my tbr.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Gena Showalter book, is that have heard mixed reviews of alice in the Zombieland. Some not so great. You know, I used to Love her cause of her YA book, Intertwined and LOTU but she recently said that she's not gonna complete the YA series only cause publishers didn't pick that series for more books and LOTU also lost its standard and I felt betrayed so she went from my top favourite authors list. So I kinda feel like not starting only this series.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy reading both the books.
Thank you for stopping by my blog!
Nice picks. Hope you enjoy them both.
