Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!
So this was an interesting week! Besides being offered and accepting a job (WOOHOO!) I got some pretty great books! And I've already read most of them! LOL!
Here's what I bought:
Unchained by Jennifer L. Armentrout--UK paperback! So this picture up here isn't quite accurate. Goodreads didn't seem to have this new edition up! But you get the idea! I bought myself a physical copy of JLA's book! ;)
The Witch Hunter by Virgina Boecker--UK paperback! I never did buy my keeper copy after reading the ARC. I found I really liked the UK cover better! So hence I bought it!
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir--UK hardcover! I still need to read this one and I have the US copy. But TBD sent me a coupon for 10% off my purchase...and well...I went a little crazy. 3 books, crazy I know! LOL! And this was all bought about 2 weeks ago. I haven't even gone on a shopping spree yet. Gonna wait for the paycheck before doing that!
Reawakened by Colleen Houck--keeper copy! Loved reading this one and so can't wait for more in the series!
Then for review I received:
The Gargoyle Gets His Girl by Kristen Painter--already read, reviewed, and loved!! This series is just so awesome and fun! I can't get enough!
A Sky Unbroken by Megan Crewe (ARC)--already read and reviewed, review to come in October. This one kind of upset me in some areas, but was still a decent read!
THANK YOU Kristen & Netgalley!
And then last Saturday, as you may or may not know, Julie Kagawa--one of my FAVORITE AUTHORS--runs an Etsy shop where she sells little dragon statues that she makes! And if you know that, you know when she fills her shop, these puppies sell out in less than 5 minutes. I happened to be home that Saturday and on my computer and yeah...I might have bought another! It's an addiction...and I can't seem to care! ;)
It's kinda hard to tell, but he's a sparkly white and light mint colored one! I thought he was cute and you know, clicked buy as fast as I could! I later saw Julie comment on twitter how he was pretty hard to make because of the particular clay or some more sophisticated art material that I can't remember, was hard to work with. So I like that I have such a special edition dragon of sorts! LOL! My collection of these has pretty much taken over one of the small shelves on my bookcase!
And that was all for this week! I might go to B&N today because I ran out of steam yesterday to go there! Still got a coupon I can use, so onward and forward and all that! LOL! What did you get this week?
