Stacking the Shelves

This weekly meme is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!

So this week went better than expected! We got out AT&T UVerse situation fixed and I am up and running smoothly with internet! There were some hiccups the first two days or so, but things managed to work out after I played around with my wires and such!

This work week though I already know will be tough. I have new things to learn. A new hire to get through orientation and such, and then we have some IMPORTANT people coming to the office on Thursday and Friday, so February cannot end soon enough!! LOL! Reading might not be as active as I would like this week, but if I can finish my current read, that would be awesome! And maybe read at least one story in the my novella collection that's upcoming!

But anyway, here's the goodies I bought this week:

Invaded by Melissa Landers--still need to read Alienated but I had a coupon last week and decided to treat myself to the paperback!
The Rule of Mirrors by Caragh M. O'Brien--cannot wait to get back to this series!!
The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine--soooo excited to read this Snow White retelling!
Revenge and the Wild by Michelle Modesto--was hearing good things and when one of my friends IRL confirmed it, I decided to buy it apart of B&N's 2/$20 deal!
Nil Unlocked by Lynne Matson--I still need to read Nil, but again, it was book 2 in my 2/$20 deal! LOL!
Ruler of the Beasts by Danielle Paige--eek! I still need to read the Scarecrow's story too!!

And then I did some fabulous ARC trades! These are already books I've read and partially own, since one doesn't release until another 2 weeks or so. But the bloggers were willing to trade and I was dying to get my hands on them because I LOVED the original cover art of these two! I was a tad upset the publishers decided to change them, but I was thrilled to be able to track down these ARCs! They were the only 2 I was currently pining for! So I'm a happy girl right now!

A Book of Spirits and Thieves by Morgan Rhodes--I found this cover to be sooo awesome! It takes place in the same fantasy world as Falling Kingdoms, but earlier then when we see our current cast of characters. Plus part of the story was in modern day Toronto (I believe!). So I thought the slightly different cover was warranted! Plus you can see some fantasy bits through thew window! I loved that connection! So I was thrilled to be able to get this ARC for my collection and cover love!

THANK YOU Becky at Stories and Sweeties!!

Into the Dim by Janet B. Taylor--another original cover art I was in love with! This one just looked so intriguing! I love people on the covers vs nothing at all. Or something simple like objects and designs. The people on the cover give more life to the story. It's weird, I know! But I was in love with this cover! And I had read it as an eARC, so in a way I had it. But it wasn't the same! Then I saw one of my blogger friends was not enjoying it at all. So I approached her to see if she was wanting to trade, and thankfully I had something she wanted to read so the trade was made!

THANK YOU Brittany at The Book Addict's Guide!!

Then I received a gift card to Society6 from Christy at The Reader Bee! This was from her week long of Blogoversary giveaways! I was excited to win! I haven't figure out just what to spend it on yet! It will take some serious deciding!

THANK YOU Christy!!

And then a few other non-bookish goodies I picked up while on my shopping adventure during the snowy weather were:

BEAUTY & THE BEAST itty bittys from Hallmark!! It's for the upcoming 25th Anniversary! And naturally I HAD to have them!! I haven't decided if I should remove them from their West Wing background packing thingy, so far they remain. It's the West Wing after all!

And then I also bought the Bat Girl itty bitty because I thought she was pretty freaking awesome! Granted, I'm going off Alicia Silverstone's portrayal as that's all I've seen! Lol! But still, she was cute and I decided to go and ahead and buy her! I officially have too many of these in case you were wondering! ;)

And then in the mail, I received some of my preorder swag from Sophie Jordan!! I still need to read Reign of Shadows, but I keep debating about reading it now or wait until the final book comes out next year and binging the duology! That way, no painful cliffhanger! But I get the pain of waiting for book 2! It's an endless cycle!

And that's pretty much my haul this week! My other shopping acquisitions weren't anything noteworthy really! What did you all get this week?
