Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Purple Princess of The Purple Booker.
Here are the rules:
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a page
3. Pick out 2 lines that are SPOILER FREE
4. Name the title, author, etc
Just a side note, this book takes place long before the Hollows series started with Dead Witch Walking. I think it's roughly 1964. Definitely before 1969! ;)
"A feeling of alarmed urgency broke over him, but Kal kept his breathing even. His theory that bacteria could safely insert genetic code into mature cells would have as much chance of being developed now as a man had of walking on the moon." Kindle loc.8%*

This week's topic is: Top Ten 2017 Debuts I'm Excited For...So Far!
*in no particular order
Well this is kind of shameful...I don't always know about debuts so far in advance. Usually it's when I start to see other bloggers reviewing them and whatnot that my interest gets piqued. So shameful in some ways. Hopefully that will change as the year goes on! So here are a few authors that I know of that I know I want to read!
4. FROSTBLOOD BY Elly Blake--I actually read this one already but I really liked it! It's just my kind of fantasy read!
3. POISON'S KISS by Breeana Shields--been seeing this one around lately and I admit to being intrigued!!
2. CARAVAL by Stephanie Garber--I came late to this game of wanting to read this one! But by the time I realized I'd like to read it, my wait was just over a month or two! So yay? LOL!
1. VALENTINE by Jodi McAlister--learned of this one from a fellow blogger and it sounds soooo awesome!!! It's got a murder thriller twist plus some Greek mythology (ish) working in!!
Oooh nice teaser, I'm adding this book to my TBR! Great lot of books too, I'm also looking forward to Frostblood and Caraval. Hope you enjoy them when you read them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TT post earlier :)
Amy @ A Magical World Of Words

ReplyDeleteMine this week is from Stephanie Meyer’s new release: https://wp.me/p3Nz8P-1a4
Caraval! I have it on my top ten as well. A lot of people have it on their lists too. Can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten!
Valentine is already on my wishlist as is Caraval, although I've heard mixed reviews about it. I've seen Poison's Kiss on a lot of lists so far.
ReplyDeleteAAAAHH I want every single one of those books!! 2017 is going to great year for books I think.
ReplyDeleteAnd fab teaser. I haven't read any of her books but I have heard great things.
Thanks for stopping by.
Shubba @ Wee Shubba's World
I need to look Poison's Kiss and Frost Blood up. I've been seeing them a lot today!
ReplyDeleteGreat list you have. I hope you enjoy them. Here's my link for today: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-1ra
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I didn't take part in TTT this week because I'm so bad at keeping up with debuts. But I'm definitely going to use this week as an opportunity to find out about them! I've seen Caraval around quite a lot recently so I'm definitely going to look that one up.
ReplyDeleteLauren @ My Expanding Bookshelf
I also really loved Frostblood! Caraval and Poison's Kiss are great too :) Awesome post!
ReplyDeleteBrittany @ Brittany's Book Rambles
I don't often read fantasy, but this sounds like a good one. The cover is definitely striking!
ReplyDeleteMy Tuesday post features Letters From Paris.
Valentine is new too me but that sounds amazing. I may have to check that one out. But yes, those other three are definitely on my list.
ReplyDeleteCassi @ My Thought Literally
I thought you had an ARC of Caraval, no?
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by Kim Harrison! I like the book's cover though. :D
ReplyDeleteI adored Frostblood and Caraval! Some 2017 debuts I'm looking forward to reading soon are Wintersong, Daughter of the Pirate King, and Royal Bastards. Fantasy for the win!
Wonderful post, Jessica!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Frost Blood and Caraval made my list this week this week too! I hope you get to read all of these and love them all!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of Valentine!! I'm going to have to check that out! I'm also really interested in Frostblood! Great list!
ReplyDeleteHere are my Top Ten!
I should be reading Frost Blood next. I am really looking forward to it. I have been seeing Caraval all over the place so I will probably need to check that one out as well.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely looking forward to Caraval!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I don't know if I'd keep reading The Turn. It sounds like a trope I do not enjoy, but I hope you do!
ReplyDeleteNice teaser, bet it does get developed.
ReplyDeleteDon't be ashamed- I don't know about that many debuts this year either. Just not something I purposely seek out.
My TT
I hadn't heard of Valentine - I'll have to look into it! :)
