"Oscar, who had remained in his porcine form, ran into the living room, jumped on the couch, and pretended to snooze. He did this sometimes when he didn't want to talk. It really dilled my pickle, but I knew from experience that I wouldn't get anything out of him until he was ready to spill." p 64

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week's question is: Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019
*in order of most desperate for!
10. IN THE WOODS by Carrie Jones & Steven E. Wedel (7/16)--my WoW from last week! This one definitely has some appeal to it and more likely than not, I might just be buying it! Lol!
9. COLD FALLING WHITE by G.S. Prendergast (11/19)--SUPER excited that this sequel is finally happening! I was fearful it was a series that was to be canceled after a year went by and I didn't hear anything bout it!
8. WINTERWOOD by Shea Ernshaw (11/5)--I really enjoyed Shea's first book and this one seems to have that same eerie ambiance to it that has me dying to read it!
7. CAPTURING THE DEVIL by Kerri Maniscalco (9/10)--I still need to read the third book but I gathered that it had a cliffhanger, hence a fourth book so I was trying to wait until closer to this one's release before reading it!
6. REBEL by Marie Lu (10/1)--super excited that Marie is adding another one to this series! I might binge read the graphic novels for the shortened version of what happened before! Lol.
5. CHASING THE SHADOWS by Maria V. Snyder (11/18)--I never did get my copy of the first book. I've got to check out Abe's and hope that I can maybe get this one because these covers are to die for! And omg, I can't even preorder this one already because it's "unavailable!"
3. NINTH HOUSE by Leigh Bardugo (10/1)--I always love when an author who primarily writes for one age group starts to write for another! Naturally, my eyes are all over this one!
2. THE QUEEN OF NOTHING by Holly Black (11/19)--super excited that this one is releasing earlier than anticipated!
Care to guess the #1 spot? If you've been around for the past few weeks for my TTT's, this should come as NO surprise! ;)

1. THE BEAUTIFUL by Renee Ahdieh (10/8)--the book I've only been waiting for since they stopped publishing vampire books! I never gave up on my true loves! LOL!
A new Marie Lu book! Must look for that.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover for Rage.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I am so ready for Capturing the Devil, though I'm sad it'll be the final book. It's actually one series I've kept up with! LOL

Chasing the Shadows sounds great so I guess I need to go look for the first one. Great list!
ReplyDeleteYeah, In the Woods does sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
Ninth House was on my list this week too!

The Beautiful definitely is bringing back the vampire/paranormal genre and I love the historical setting. I had a chance to read it and if you like Stalking Jack the Ripper and Enchantée, you will love this book! It also gives off The Originals vibe if you like that TV show.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for Capturing the Devil, Ninth House and Winterwood. All three are on my TTT list for the week too! I hope you get to read all of these wonderful books!
I'm really excited for a lot of these ones too! Can't wait to read The Queen of Nothing and Capturing the Devil :D
ReplyDeleteCapturing the Devil is the #1 for me out of these! I cannot wait for that book!'
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Take Me Away...
I haven't heard of most of these, but I hope you love them when you read them.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!

Rage, The Queen of Nothing and Beautiful I am waiting on.
ReplyDeleteI am keeping my fingers crossed that Rebel gives me the answers I am seeking about June and Day. I just need a few sentences to let me know what happened to them after the last book ended. That really is my motivation for wanting to read this book.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I knew The Beautiful would be on your list! I can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteThe Beautiful and Rebel also made my list! But I'm also looking forward to Ninth House! I hope you get to all of these!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love that cover for In the Woods! So moody!! Same with Cold Falling White and Winterwood. and they look good all lined up next to each other. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso Beautiful looks amazing as well- I'm also glad vampires are coming back. I got into blogging right around the tail end of the vampire craze, I think, and I'd like to see more stories!
I'm looking forward to The Queen of Nothing! And does it feel like we've been waiting forever for Rage, or is it just me :D
