My head cold prevented me from finishing this last week. So here's another teaser!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and The Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week's topic is: SCHOOL FREEBIE: Top Ten Books I Read in School to Stay Sane

*in no particular order
**despite loving English class, I wasn't always a fan of the classics I was forced to read, so I always had my own read going on on the side...to keep myself sane! Lol.

10. THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR by Richie Tankersley Cusick--I must have donated my original copy, but a few years ago I found a reprint so I added it to my TBR to reread again! Still haven't gotten there, but I remember loving it!
9. SNOW by Tracy Lynn--one of the most unique Snow White retellings I ever read! I reread it quite a bit back in the day!
8. BLUE IS FOR NIGHTMARES by Laurie Faria Stolarz--a true treasure I found and I ate up this series!

7. ROSWELL HIGH by Melinda Metz--showing my age here! Lol. I loved this show growing up, so I picked up this series without really knowing that these books existed first!
6. THE HAUNTED HEART by Cherie Bennett--I bet you're thinking what was Jessica smoking? Lol. But seriously, this was a PARANORMAL series! This first one involved a ghost! It was a multi-author series that was 5 or 6 books long. There was always something supernatural like involved, I recall two with ghosts, a psychic, love potions/magic, and one that involved exploring past lives. Heavy stuff! Lol.
5. COMPANIONS OF THE NIGHT by Vivian Vande Velde--I LOVED her stuff growing up! I could always expect something paranormal or creepy from her!

4. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES by L.J. Smith--the original ones by the original author! These books were so incredible! I was dismayed when the publisher somehow ousted her from writing the books her way. She wrote one original trilogy some years after these original 4 books, but after that it was a ghostwriter. But this was the original vampire fix for me!
3. BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE by Anette Curtis Klause--but I would never forget my werewolves either! This is still one of my most fave YA werewolf books! Read the book, skip the movie. That's my advice! Lol.
2. OLD MAGIC by Marianne Curley--I've expressed my love for this one so many times! Naturally, it was reread a lot!

1. DEMON IN MY VIEW by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes--and of course there was my first love! My original copy is so beat up from all the rereading I did with it! And it's signed so it's basically a treasuer! I need a locked bookcase with glass walls to showcase treasures like this one now! Lol.
