Christmas Songs Book Tag

I did this tag last year and it was brought to mind again when I saw it over at That Artsy Reader Girl! It's Jana's own tag that she created and she does it every year! Since I was wanting something Christmasy post related on my blog, I decided I'd do it again too! I borrowed her image you see above because it's too cute and fits perfectly!

I'm going to try to stick to books reads in 2019 as well for this one..but we'll see what happens! ;)

"ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU": favorite bookish couple

Tella & Legend for sure! And since I re-read Legendary this year (a first for me in YEARS!!) I'm counting it as a 2019 read! ;)

"I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS": a book where the character is away from home (school, vacation, etc.)

Scarlett leaves home to attend Caraval! And again, this was a re-read from this year, so I'm counting it despite it not being a "2019" book!

"HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS": name your favorite "little" book (children's book, short story, novella, etc.)

The Joy of Cookies was a short little book of sound wisdom...and cookies!

"SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN": what books do you hope Santa brings you this year?

Two semi-randomly chosen books were Happily and Madly by Alexis Bass and Dreaming Darkly by Caitlin Kittredge!

"RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER": which book turned your nose red (made you cry)?

Let's face it, there were sporadic tears throughout Finale!

"THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF YEAR": your favorite book/kind of book to read during the holidays

Honestly there's no theme or type for me at this time of year! Just whatever's on my TBR pile...usually the following year's review books I need to get going on, like Chosen!

"WE THREE KINGS": your favorite trilogy

Since last year I chose Caraval, I thought I'd better chose something different. Can't say that I will be good next year though! Lol! The Folk of the Air trilogy ended this year and I ended up reading 2/3 books of it this year! I really enjoyed it and hope Holly continues with this world because that LOOK!

"LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW": a character you'd love to be snowed in with

The topic that makes me realize I've got to read a few more adult books a year for these kinds of questions alone! Lol! Luckily there was Caden from The King who I oh so would not mind being snowed in with! LOL! Any age appropriate JLA man is an acceptable choice for that matter!

"LAST CHRISTMAS": a book that seriously let you down

The Missing Season was this year's BIGGEST LETDOWN! I can't even begin to describe all it's flaws...it just wasn't at all what I had hoped for.

"WHITE CHRISTMAS": an upcoming release you're dreaming about

Top three that came to mind were From the Grave by Kresley Cole--I am desperately hoping comes out next year, The Queen by Jennifer L. Armentrout--who would've thought I'd become so addicted to a novella series?!, and like everyone else House of Blood and Earth by Sarah J. Maas--really hoping this isn't a hyped book because it does sound like one I'd enjoy and holy crap 832 pages...we're in Harry Potter territory!

  4. I'm reading Chosen right now, so I guess that's my holiday reading as well. :-)
