ARC Review--Lure by Alyssa Rose Ivy

Two years, six months, and twenty-five days. That's how long it had been since I'd seen my winged hero— not that I'd been counting. I'd suffered through years of counseling just to convince my friends and family that I wasn't crazy and knew he didn't exist.

But he did. And I was done waiting.

Days after college graduation I headed back down to New Orleans to retrace my steps and find Owen again only to find my life was about to get even crazier... thanks to the most beautiful and dangerous of all paranormal creatures, the Allures.

If I haven't made it official yet, let me state it now: Alyssa Rose Ivy is my FAVORITE Paranormal New Adult author of all time!! I LOVE her series; The Crescent Chronicles, The Empire Chronicles, The Dire Wolves Chronicles, and now I can add The Allure Chronicles! I just LOVE this world she's created! That all four of these series are in the same universe is even more fun because there are LOTS of crossovers! Each character has popped up in some way in all of the stories! I seriously had NO IDEA what I was getting into when I picked up Flight when I won it one day. No clue. I was completely sucked into this world Alyssa has created and it always leaves me craving more and more! And I've gotten more and more with each novel and additional series!! SQUEE!

So after all that gushing over the author and her books, let's talk Lure! Lure was fabulous! I read the prequel Seduction's Kiss to it not that long ago and loved it! It's basically the precursor of this story! I wouldn't say you have to read it to follow along, but you should! It's short and oh so enjoyable! I love Daisy's character! She's just as sassy and independent as all Alyssa's previous heroines and I love that! I love the sass and attitude! I love the softer side they show on rare occasions, I love it all!

It's been over two years since Daisy met Owen, shared that one kiss and have been head over heels ever since. She can't get over this mysterious guy with wings. She's been through therapy, no one believes her, she's called crazy, things are just a mess. So once she graduates college she goes back to NOLA for an interview for an internship, right away she's trying to find traces or clues that would lead her to Owen, but she's shocked to find everything different. The photography shop? Gone. The Voodoo Shop? Taken over by a new owner right around the time Daisy left. The vampire club? Not a hot new club loads of people attend. Everything has changed, to say the least!

Daisy also still has the problem of seeming to attract just about everyone. It's not a vanity thing either. Literally most guys and girls are just drawn to her and want to be with her, love her, kiss her, yadda yadda yadda. Then Daisy has a chance of circumstance where she meets three people who call themselves Allures. She has no idea what that is, but learns it's yet another brand of supernatural she had no clue existed. Violet, Hugh, and Roland agree to help her find Owen, if she helps them find the witch who killed one of their own.

All things tie together in this one from little tidbits of Seduction's Kiss! I think my only complaint was that Daisy and Owen didn't come to find one another sooner! I was worried it would never happen, but happen it does! And oh wow! It was incredible!

I love the mystery to this one! There's so much mystery surrounding the Allures and what's happening to Daisy, because clearly she's changing. Plus there seems to be some odd connection to Roland. There's no romance, but Roland is rather flirty with her. It definitely makes the theories start to fly around in my head! 

The ending to this one was quite explosive, at least I thought so! It was shocking, but yet, I felt like there were enough clues to guide us to that path! But there's still plenty left unsaid! This is only the start of Owen and Daisy's story and I SO cannot wait to see what happens next! At least there will be the final Dire Wolves Chronicles book to tide me over to the wait of this one!

If you haven't read Alyssa Rose Ivy's books yet, what are you waiting for?! They are freaking incredible! I eat them up and am always left needing more, because they are just that awesome! The perfect blend of paranormal, action, romance, humor and suspense! Everything you could want from a novel!

Though you could read just about any of the series in whatever order you chose, I would still recommend reading them in series order because there are nonsensical little things that are revealed in later stories that would be kind of spoilery to past series, had you not read them. Just a piece of advice.
